  • Loosing several family members to cancer and watching them rot on a vent for 4-weeks because the POA reversed the DNR status at the last minute was horrible. I am a total advocate for the rights and comfort of the dying person. If you truly love them, you will let them go in peace and with dignity. You are one of the first people to understand that placing a dying person on a vent is totally wrong. Thanks for saying that in your video.

  • Once the cancer is a for sure terminal thing. Sign the DNR/DNI. Shift all the resources to quality of life, not quantity. Focus on comfort, pain control, and to preserve the dignity of the dying. Let the dying come home and die in his own house. Let his last 3-moths be nausea free because you have stopped the chemo, let him have energy to get out of bed for the last 3-months because you have stopped the chemo. If you really love you dying family member, you will put their needs first, not yours.

  • Placing a terminally ill person on life support is pure torture and just wrong. Let them die in peace with as much dignity as possible. They are still going to die no matter what. Why stick them with needles 20 times a day, have a breathing tube in their throat that is constantly gagging them, why let them start to rot and weep fluid from every part of their body. Why let them lay in their own feces? Becasue you are too selfish to do what is best for the dying. You are placing yourself first.

  • Someone with a terminal disease should automatically make themselves DNR/DNI. Why drag the survivors through a long drawn out 1-month death in an ICU. Also the family should not be selfish and place their terminally ill loved on on a vent and do CPR after CPR. Why torture and beat, shock, crack every rib and the sternum, just so you can "hold on" to you loved one for just a few more days. They are already gone. Why beat the body? Do not be selfish Focus on comfort and pain control for the dying

  • I'm so sorry to hear of this prognosis. Sadly I lost my uncle to lung cancer a year or so ago. I hope they find a cure soon. :( God bless you both.
