I have a few problems with this video.

1. While Guitar Phrase is different you could say the same thing about Guitar Hero: Mattalica and Guitar Hero Aerosmith.

2. Mario DDR was pretty much made to apeal to the *gasp* Mario fans. And Mario has a HUGE fanbase. I am sure at least a large chunk of that fanbase bought the DDR game. There will be Mario fans that buy it that don't even care for DDR. And if that fan enjoy's it then will become a DDR fan and buy the other games.

You need to rant on guitar hero in general. I'm an enthusiast for the series considering I 5 star expert for fun, but after 3 they became more and more mainstream and completely forgot good songs. I never quite understood the whole "Christian Rock" thing. I'm not very religious myself, but I would think that people wouldn't want everything their into revolve around their religion. Maybe that's the point, I dunno.

The game itself i don't really have a problem with. GH wasn't a new idea and specialized versions of these games are becoming common. If nothing else "Guitar Praise" was less of a surprise than "Lego Rock Band".

If you're going to do the horns, don't extend the thumb, it looks a bit lame. Only the index and pinky should be pointing straight up, with the thumb on the nails of both the middle and ring fingers. It takes a bit of finesse to do, but, you'll get it in time.

On another note, this isn't going to tarnish the reputation of Guitar Hero because it wasn't released in the guise of being a Guitar Hero game; yes it resembles it, but it isn't using the Guitar Hero trademark. Simply put, this game is not "Guitar Hero: Praise the Lord", it's "Guitar Praise," which is a lot like many of the generic names you find for knock offs that try to sneak the name of the original name brand in with their own spin.

There's always been a small market for "non-secular" items that are sold off in Christian Stores and Flea Markets; this is the exact kind of game I'd expect being stacked against no-name electronic brands being imported from China. It's all about money that can be earned by pitching to the people who opt to buy candles with saints on them rather than regular candles, and those who would rather buy Christian Rock than just [secular] Soft Rock.

As a christian myself, I have seen some friends who don't listen to much of modern pop/rock and who are really into the christian rock. I myself would like to see jazz hero but that's a different story.

Either way, lot of christian youths do play games and I don't think I'd personally buy this myself since I'm not into all the christian rock out there but there is definitely a market out there for this kind of games.
