I think if you going to compare Mika's song with Annie's you'll need to speed Annie's up a bit. Not to it squeaks, but they aren't the same tempo so it's harder to tell.

I haven't heard Annie Lennox's song before but after watching this video and the song 'Walking On Broken Glass' I can tell that Mika's refrain in 'We are Golden' is a spitting image of that! And yes, Mika's song alludes to Belinda Carlisle's 'Heaven On earth', too.

Hmpf egal. Es gibt so viele Lieder, da kann es doch mal zufällig passieren, dass sich welche, unabhängig voneinander, ziemlich ähnlich anhörn, ne?
