  • Blacks can ROCK!!! All time favorite>>>

  • lol micey's monkey from the donald duck you know wath the donlad duck is

  • @JB4375 Smokey Robinson & The Miracles did this song in 1963 already...

  • "DO THAT MONKEY---MAKE IT FUNKY---YEAH!!

I saw this group in Charlotte,NC 2 months ago and they still rock. Joyce Kennedy can still put it down, and the white guy on lead guitar is a BEAST!!

  • had a friend when i was about 15-that was in this punk rock group-reminds me of their music-her name was Rose Robinson-anyway funky rytm

  • I have seen this funky bunch about 5 times and still love them. My wife has seen them about 7 times with 4 times right here in Chattanooga Tennesse. We love them and wish they would come back and just stay for a while. We love you and your funk here in Chattanooga!!!!

  • Zeppelin ripped of Smokey Robinson. MF was pissed off about it and recorded their version of Mickey's Monkey to show everyone that Zeppelin ripped off Smokey! But it back-fired b/c nobody who listened to Zepp at the time knew anything about Smokey and Mickey's Monkey and therefore thought MF ripped off Zepp! They (MF) had to go public and explain, but ti still didn;t convince enough people or THIS STILL WOULD NOT BE DISCUSSED IN 2011... 34 yrs later!!!!!!

  • @pontiacjeff if they ripped offed zep oh well they did a GREAT JOB !

  • Led Zeppelin????

  • Good one sanjhunt.

  • they rerecorded this purposely to let it be known that Led Zep ripped it off from them

  • was there and seen them at the Rambling Raft Race in Atlanta. Awesome. Moses Moe Rules...!

  • see yall at the pig jig

  • The Wizard. Badass bass player.

  • Classic for sure~ Always new and fresh>>>

  • Sunday 03 juli 2011. There they are. Mothers Finest. Where: in Oss, the Netherlands of all places.

    Memories , memories, memories............................

  • 1978 roosevelt high & mothers finest at the omni. no need to bring weed just breathe

  • I grew up in Atl. w/these guys- Love em'. Guitar player is great.

  • Those were the good old trippin days,good music,good drugs,what a life

  • This was a mashup before a mashup was called a mashup. Instrumental track is Led Zeppelin's "Custard Pie" with the melody/lyrics of "Mickey's Monkey." Freakin' BRILLIANT. One of my all time faves.

  • @cwize I'll be mashing it. Dead on riffs. Im sure Baby Love also came from another artist.

  • If you hear some zep here, its because they lifted some licks from smokey's original version. All roads lead to motown.

  • @sanjhunt CWIZE was right. It's a mashup. Mother's Finest took Mickey's Monkey from Smokey, but they took the licks from Led Zeppelin's Custard Pie. Smokey was/is pure genius but his version from 1963 didn't sound anything like this.

  • @JB4375 you're wrong they took it from smokey and Zeppelin took their licks from Mother's Finest. This came before Custard Pie and they have spoken about it many times in interview.

  • @bcom11 ????? Dude.... Ask yourself which is more likely: An unknown band borrowing from Zeppelin or the other way around?? Now add in the fact that Led Zeppelin Physical Graffiti released in 1975. Mother's Finest Another Mother Further released 1977. Now put this in Google "led zeppelin custard pie from Mother's finest" and look a the top 5 links that say the EXACT opposite of what you've stated.

  • have have u have someone wake u up at 6:am with boo bo yaeh?aweawesome

  • I hear some Led Zepplin in there!

  • Sounds just like "Custard Pie".

  • saw them in 76, they rocked1
