Even in areas where I may think i am an expert i am always open to advice. Yes there were standoffs already seated in the case. I lter connect a vent hose to the PC case. I live in Phoenix AZ where the outside Temp is 105 from May to Sep.

Living in Phoenix circulation is a major concern. I have a customer with 4 PC's out in a dock area enclosed in a metal case. "their demand", it gets up to 140 degrees in the summer literally. To my surprise they have not shut off on him.

Did you just mount a motherboard without standoffs? Not to be an ass, but you have your PSU's fan pushing hot air into your CPU Heat Sink. See if you can flip it over a cut a hole in the top of the case...
