There is a way tho. The bottom screw, they made it stuck. I simply sawed it off. And i have a question. My mer keeps jamming after i modified it. Any tips?

@0BirdEye0 possibly there's a rough piece of plastic in there from drilling out the air restrictor. Perhaps you could take it apart again, smooth it out, wash the pieces (in water, no detergent), and reassemble.

You just have to figure out where it is jamming and what is causing it, then fix it!

hey i have a problem. i did what you said. i drilled out the thing. and i stretched out the spring. and i put a peice of a cotton ball in the tube, and it works as padding.....the first couple shots work amazing great, but after about 10, the performance decreased significantly, almost to the point where it was like shooting it before the mod.....any ideas?

@bowhunter42995 possibly the padding became stuck or clogged the tube a little? it depends because since its cotton it can split apart and travel up the tube, this would no doubt affect the pellet speed and accuracy

Also, i see on video that darts flying up when angle is around 0-5. This will make firing with long barrel problems?

There is no problem when the barrel attachment is on, the greater force of the gun pushes the dart faster, and the dart may have been a bit faulty, causing the wind to push it up a bit.

I have the same problem. the only way i found was to remove the black piece at the end of the pistol. it wount fire because you may have stretched the pring too much so it will be quite hard to fix that as you cant unstretch in.

I just modded my recon using this vid. If you're having problems you did something wrong, make sure you didn't lose a spring or put something in wrong, this is a very simple gun, as easy to mod as the maverick.

When you load the gun, there is an orange thing that pops up to stop the bullet from sliding out of the barrel.

Just make sure that pops up when you pull the greay thing back.

If you cant figure it out, just pull it apart and put it back together again.

The first time I took mine apart it took me about 7 times to put it back together because I couldnt find a good video tutorial :P

My advice is correct about over- and under-stretching springs, so how's that make me a douche? If you can't take a comment and critique, then don't post this video. Noobie has no idea how much to stretch their springs, so they can easily overstretch or understretch them. The safer way for noobie is to tape the plunger tube to pre-compress the spring.

Every modder knows spring stretching = fail mod.

If you don't stretch the spring enough, it will retract back to its original length. If you stretch it too much, you will distort the metal, causing weakening of spring and microfractures.

So, DON'T STRETCH THE SPRING. Just replace it with stronger spring.

@noodlefoo Dude, those are myths, stretching the spring too far will make the metal weaker, but thats like pretty much stretching it until it is deformed. Stretching it to a reasonable length like how I have done is perfect, it costs nothing and stays the same length for a couple of months. After it retracts back, you can just stretch it again. Dont be a douche. This is a detailed mod for the noobies that dont really know what they are doing.
