I hardly ever look at things too generally. I'm not sure if most crime looks like a CSI episode, but some investigation is required. I'm uncomfortable with condemning a man to death, it's not my place (nor anyone elses but God's.) I've heard that he really is psychotic, so it complicates things. I've studied/been aroud war vets and mentally-deficient people, so I can understand both arguments. I know insanty pleas are commonplace, but I'm not sure about Sullivan's story.

I would want to, but I wouldn't. Thou shall not kill. It's not about what I want, that's just the way it is. We follow laws moreso than people. I might ask for a fight, or have him pay a price though. I'm sorry to hear that, but if we had vigilante justice, or if we critically analyzed/evaluated every story in every case, the whole criminal justice system would be turned upside down. I understand your rancor, but what he'll go through in Hell is far worse than anything you could do to him.

In holland we have a system where mental patient first go to prison. Afther that they go for treatment to a special psychiatric hospital where they get their treatment.
My oppinion is that they first have to do their punishment before treatment. Cause else you would have the problem that a lot of people would throw it on their mental state and escape the jail.
Sullivan should do lots of years, perhaps all his life in prison with some treatment.
