A kid in my neighborhood was attacked by a FAMILY pitbull. It was treated well and was raised well. It just snapped. They are very unpredictable, but nice dogs when they are not eating people. BTW he was in critical condition.
Pit bulls are really good family pets the only time there not is if they've been trained to attack.... if your nice to the dog it'll be nice back... iv got two dogs a jack russell and a yorkie there both very sweet yorkies normaly are protective over there master and may bite but mine is a sweety he does protect my nan from other dogs and always will my jack russell protects my mum from anyone but there both friendly :3
@joopwoop Yeah :) Charles and Alli basically upload a video everyday and get payed by youtube for it. They film what they do all day and us guys love it haha! They have been filming everyday for about 2-3 years :)
They travel and plan there wedding (Its on Novmeber 20th) :D xxx

In the U.K. Pitbulls are banned unless you have a licence, but my neighbour had one and it was the sweetest dog in the whole world it was so loving and gentle, we miss you so much Jake hope you are having a good time in doggy heaven.

Aaah thank you Charles for saying that about pit bulls ;~; my mom does not believe that pit bulls can be sweet and loving, but it was kind of breed into them to fight, and there are still puppies that as long as you don't raise it that way it can be so sweet. And other dogs can be too, even little ones.
most of the people who get pitbulls do it to show off as oh i have a bad ass dog ect. and dont raise it right and they are hard on the dogs... yes based on a dogs breed they are predisposed to having a certain temperment but that doesnt mean anything if raised correctly. i do think that people who get pitbulls should be held responsible for their dog and not blame the dog solely
I have two pitbull and they are the best dogs ever. They are so sweet and would never hurt anyone. I adopted both of them from an animal shelter. My brothers used to say that they would never own a pitbull, that they were bad dogs and would hurt us. Now all three of my brother want to adopt a pitbull. If you raise them right just like any other dogs then they will be great dogs. It doesn't matter what kind of dog it is, if they were treated badly then they will be aggressive.
I completely understand if your dog has been attacked by a pitbull why you might not be a fan of the species however, saying that one type of dog should be banned from our country is like saying one type of religion should be banned. Just because something or someone has a bad rep does not mean we have a eight to judge until we get to know it -3 equality rules!
Let's say that not anyone can own a pitbull. Only prepared people can own them, not just a loving family because we have to be realistic, pitbulls have some anger management issues no matter what they were treated like.
@chikenarch true i agree that they are breed as fighting dogs and you have to know how to train them from puppies i've seen people get them and completly think oh they were bread as fight dogs so i need to be hard on them and they ended up snapping... also those people dont spay and neuter them and the testosterone in males make them more anger prone so it deffinetly takes a well prepaired person to raise one but if raised right are the greatest dogs!

I was attacked by a cockier spinal and a chow chow, both of them being my brothers dogs. Im not scared of the breeds either. But Ive owned may of big dogs thru out my life and now I have a chihuahua and she is more likely to rip your ankle apart then one of my big dogs ripping your face off

and ive owned my pitbull for 13 years :D hes a big baby with his sweater and all. NO such thing as a bad dg only a bad owner.. and besides ask a vet they'll tell ya that small dogs like chiuahas and yorkies n shit are more likely to attack than any big dog.. a lab is more likely than a pit haha.

I think pit bulls have the ability to be aggressive, and thats the kind of dog to get if you want to train it like that, but i agree, they are not all like that, it definitely has to do with the how its brought up
my uncle had a female stafford terrier from the shelter (i know, no pitbull, but they are considered dangerous too) And she never bit anybody or was aggressive. So I'm on the same page with you Charles and Alli. It's all about the owner and how you look after your dog and treat it. The only thing with pitbulls and co is that if your dog "turns bad" because you treated it wrong, they got more strength than others and the damage is bigger.
Its true pit bulls are really nice dogs you just have to raise them right. They're very loyal and protective of their owner and they're competitive with other dogs. My dad loves pit bulls i dont remember a time when my dad didnt have a pitbull. My unlces pit bull had puppies 3 months ago and she didnt turn aggressive like most people think. My boyfriend and i recently got one of the puppies from my uncle and she is the sweetest thing i love her to death and im already training her.
my next door neighbor has a pitbull. shes still a puppy and they have her living outiside. one week they left on vacation and the dog was chained outside with no food or water so me and my brother gave her some food and water :)
My uncle has a girl pitbull named Sable and although she likes to play a little rough, she's such a sweet dog! But never go by her tail when she's happy.. god that thing is strong

I have a pitbull that my family got from PAWS, and according to the shelter they found her in a dumster behind a Fudruckers. When we got her she had a few scars on her ear and legs that suggest that either her owner gave her a rough time or just being alone searching for food got her those scars. But after having her for 3 years, she's been nothing but a protective sweetheart. The worse thing she does is jump on people and I always get upset when my aunt refuses to visit our home with her inside
Pitbulls arent really that more aggressive than other dogs but they have huge determination and are like uber loyal. Merely the dogs behaviour mirrors the owners. My friend had this little pitbull and my friend had taken good care of it alone for good while. Then once this big dog (i think Great Dane if im not mistaken) , which had got off the leash, ran towards my friend barking and the 5 times smaller pitbull just stepped in front of my friend and barked and growled until the dog went away.
I think pit bulls have the aggresive nature bred into them. It seems like all you hear is them attacking people but I agree owners behavior goes into it also. You never hear about labrador retrievers or saint bernards killing people and that's why they are generally used for dog fighting.

oh jeiz... well, i have a puppy thats a pitbull But i got bit by a pitbull about 2 weeks ago&got 5 stitches. i didnt want them to shoot the dog but they said they have to. i loved that dog,he was nice but He gotta attaked by a BullDog & was scared so it bit me when he got away &couldt get my dog.

and ive owned my pitbull for 13 years :D hes a big baby with his sweater and all. NO such thing as a bad dg only a bad owner.. and besides ask a vet they'll tell ya that small dogs like chiuahas and yorkies n shit are more likely to attack than any big dog.. a lab is more likely than a pit haha.

I think pit bulls have the ability to be aggressive, and thats the kind of dog to get if you want to train it like that, but i agree, they are not all like that, it definitely has to do with the how its brought up

my uncle had a female stafford terrier from the shelter (i know, no pitbull, but they are considered dangerous too) And she never bit anybody or was aggressive. So I'm on the same page with you Charles and Alli. It's all about the owner and how you look after your dog and treat it. The only thing with pitbulls and co is that if your dog "turns bad" because you treated it wrong, they got more strength than others and the damage is bigger.

Its true pit bulls are really nice dogs you just have to raise them right. They're very loyal and protective of their owner and they're competitive with other dogs. My dad loves pit bulls i dont remember a time when my dad didnt have a pitbull. My unlces pit bull had puppies 3 months ago and she didnt turn aggressive like most people think. My boyfriend and i recently got one of the puppies from my uncle and she is the sweetest thing i love her to death and im already training her.

my next door neighbor has a pitbull. shes still a puppy and they have her living outiside. one week they left on vacation and the dog was chained outside with no food or water so me and my brother gave her some food and water :)

lol i feel like pitbulls are almost like bears...maybe not bears but its like maybe its been exposed on me by media or something else...but i feel like if you have a small child or baby you know they pull tails and pinch ears cause there curious...i just feel like a pitbull is more likely to react in a move...aggresive manner to that kind of situation...i dont own a dog but i have had bad experiences with my old dog aztec...hit by car on rezervation...and scared to attach to dogs anymore.

I have a pitbull that my family got from PAWS, and according to the shelter they found her in a dumster behind a Fudruckers. When we got her she had a few scars on her ear and legs that suggest that either her owner gave her a rough time or just being alone searching for food got her those scars. But after having her for 3 years, she's been nothing but a protective sweetheart. The worse thing she does is jump on people and I always get upset when my aunt refuses to visit our home with her inside

Pitbulls arent really that more aggressive than other dogs but they have huge determination and are like uber loyal. Merely the dogs behaviour mirrors the owners. My friend had this little pitbull and my friend had taken good care of it alone for good while. Then once this big dog (i think Great Dane if im not mistaken) , which had got off the leash, ran towards my friend barking and the 5 times smaller pitbull just stepped in front of my friend and barked and growled until the dog went away.

I think pit bulls have the aggresive nature bred into them. It seems like all you hear is them attacking people but I agree owners behavior goes into it also. You never hear about labrador retrievers or saint bernards killing people and that's why they are generally used for dog fighting.
