  • it's amazing!

i wish gay parades in brazil were familiar like that, and not so sexy as it is.

  • u ppl are going to HELL for sure. hoep u ppl got AIDS first then u die suffering!

  • @RwSoy187

    see you there too? =)

p.s. fix your english, else shut the fuck up?

  • @Lokies freaking faggot! have nothing to say and you're blaming typos? get a life...i mean a girl!

  • @RwSoy187

LOL. Awww, look at you trying hard to imbecile your way to sound smart.

    Try harder, yeah? =)

  • i saw this from an indonesian forum, you wouldn't like all those comments they made, reminds me of how primitive indonesians are

  • Full moral support from Thailand la. ; ) Will join when in Spore.

  • Full moral support from Thailand la. ; )

  • I SUPPORT PINK DOT!(:

  • beautiful :)

  • how i wish i was there to support and be a part of that event

  • Undeadsaint, people can't just 'turn gay'.. You're contracting yourself thoroughly. The earth is experiencing overpopulation of humans, go figure.

  • How i wish Philippines people would see and understand what the real love means-unconditional, has no reason, no discriminations, no limitations and would Not be only for heterosexual relationship... For I Believe LOVE has NO GENDER..if only they see the freedom to love... World is Peaceful and would be a Better PLACE TO LIVE IN...

  • I have gays & lesbians friends. I dont hate them because they are born this way. However i do not support or encourage ppl to turn gay or homo.

Everyone is talking about love, and how GREAT love is. However, what if this 'Love' results to increase rate of aids, low birthrate, more illness, increase rate of ppl dying from transexual operations failure??? Will trans and homo be force to serve NS?? will ppl turn homo and gays just to avoid serving NS??

I pray for them for their salvation.

  • LOVE 4 ALL

  • The 9 dislikes definitely comes from Church of Our Saviour!

  • Public Displays of Affection aren't frowned upon. Even the "STOMPING" idiots who take photos of others kissing don't frown upon it, they enjoy being the voyeur and want to share that experience with other stupid stompers. lol!

  • wonderful video! truly inspiring. :)

  • Does anyone know what the name of the music used in this video is? It's beautiful

  • @MatthewJay1987

Yes, its beautiful. If ever you do have a copy now, can I possibly ask? thanks

  • Obviously theunraveler is biased. (-.-)

Though I'm a singaporean I feel ashamed of such nosy people going around taking pictures of other people's private lives and posting it on the web. Seriously, GET A LIFE. It's obvious theunraveler has nothing better to do.

  • @einherz478 Really, not all of us resemble this heartlander brat. Whether or not I agree with the lives of those other than myself (I must admit it makes me somewhat uneasy), I would never raise any other up to be mocked and criticised so easily. Just imagine the implications for their families!

It is something only the most selfish would ever think of, or even consider. theunravaler is not the best representation of our singapore. Cheers, and all the best to Germany in the world cup!

  • @einherz478 Indeed. it is a manifestation of the worst in humankind, and the worst of singaporean society. It reveals just how singaporeans deal with his/her own helplessness - by whining, moaning and complaining about it.

  • @theunraveler What is "STOMP"? You sound like speak law and brutality.

  • "one up the bum no harm done?", singapore should ban these things. the very essence of identity, gender, and you cant identify it. Just take a look down south if you've got a dick well, you're male, act like one or vice versa. If you're a fag, don't encourage young ppl to be ok with it cause its clearly not, its a mental issue. Ppl say "I was born this way" well, thats a load of BS.

  • fucking faggots!

  • Everyone has the right to choose what type of life they want and be responsible as adults. Gays have their rights too. They should be treated the same as everyone else, similar to people who are previously ex convicts who have turned over a new leaf. There should be more such events in future. *aplause*

  • hope ppl upload vids on today's one...

  • i cried when watching this.... touched

  • Though I am unsure of which 'team' I play for, I do think this sort of thing is very good. It is only by pushing forward, regardless of the obstacles, can we create a better life for all.

And for those who believe that being gay is terrible, I hope you are able to open your arms and allow yourself to treat everyone the same. In the words of Jesus Christ himself, the right hand of the Christian God, love your neighbour as yourself.

  • @jayjayjuju You are absolutelty right about the teachings of Christ, but there's one thing you fail to understand ie: God loves you " but he does not condone what you do " It's sinfull, and he knows where it will lead you too. Good Parents love their children very much, but they will not condone their wrongfull acts. GOD HATES SINS, but he is ever willing to forgive if you truly repent. That's the staus quo.

  • SG intolerant of gay meh? I dun see no gay bashing or ppl murdered for being gay....

    Bo liao lah....

  • Aiyah!! u no eyes see outside world meh? some of the singaporean are against it. Although they never say out they stab u from behind.

who dare to murder the gay community sia? singapore law so strict, murder someone and u're sentence to death. I don't think the person want to waste his life just for killing a gay person.. so lame lor.

    i support lgbt ^^

  • @theunraveler Being socially unaccepted for being gay is what many of my gay friends face. They are unable to express themselves openly in public, and most feel repressed by the general social mentality. It's not just physical abuse like gay bashing that will hurt a person. There's the social, mental and psychological aspects of intolerance.

  • @Munijy express what in public? do gays feel the need to express their love for each other in public? even for straight people PDA is frowned upon in public and if u do that some trigger happy moron will STOMP you.

  • @theunraveler Perhaps holding hands or just simple hugging that many straight couples do? I wasn't implying PDA like making out as such.

  • @Munijy

That is forbidden too. If you go look on STOMP you will see many shameless couples being STOMPed for holding hands or hugging...

  • @theunraveler I think you're referring 'shameless couples' to those secondary school students in uniforms kissing and hugging etc? I've seen a couple of those STOMP articles back when I was in secondary school. But what about an adult couple holding hands and hugging each other in parting? That's not 'forbidden'. Choose you're words carefully.

  • @Munijy I'm not referring to young kids, I'm talking about adults holding hands or behaving intimately and getting STOMPed.

Its not forbidden legally but its frown upon socially to engage in PDA. One of these days you're gonna get STOMP if you do that...

  • @theunraveler (continued) If it is so, then my mum and dad must have been one of those 'shameless couples' 'cos they sure do hold hands while out shopping. What about those unmarried working adults dating? 'Forbidden' too? I think you're generalising too much.

  • Getting back to the topic, I was trying to imply that while heterosexual couples (of those you do not consider 'stomp' worthy) can show simple affection to one another (like holding hands), many of my gay friends are unable to do so, for fear of intolerance/disgust from the public. May I stress that while there are GLBTQ-friendly people in the community, there are many who are still intolerant of queers. I'm hoping that one day, these beautiful friends of mine can express themselves freely.

  • @Munijy They can express themselves freely, but I'd be there to STOMP them if they do with my trusty camera phone...

  • @theunraveler You sound like something of a voyeur. Most of the STOMP articles I have seen just involve vulgar prurient comments about couples behaving naturally and affectionately in public. It's sad that people are titillated or offended by such things, and even sadder that they have so little respect for others that they feel free to violate their privacy by posting their pictures online.

  • @Munijy I like the sound of your free and easy world. It is so much better to accept than to judge. I like to see people being loving toward one another. When I see people holding hands, I smile. When I hold hands with my girlfriend, people smile at us. Love is lovely :)

  • I am gay and I've realised from working as an advertising student that what can change our societies way of thinking is only one thing... Time... and inpersistence... because if we keep asking for something people will think that we are the bad guys... but if we just be who we wanna be and let the govn run its laws... evolution of human perception will without a doubt be changed...

And yes I do WISH that it could be really soon.. though it'll probably take as long as evolution...

  • Singaporeans thus need to recognise that . People have different lifestyles and choice and dfferent definaion to what a life should be. This is not about gay rights or that sort .... is about acceptance and realising that society is of a diverse and complex construct. Each individual is unquie and have different ideals to life. Is not about right or wrong if one do or not live up to UR ideals. That is what makes us human ; we are intelligent beings and complex that is how society is.

  • Similarly i will expect my gay peers to accept my choice to stay out of this gay pride ish thing. Am still proud and out just that i prefer to live my own life choice. That is how i define my life. SO is not really about being gay or .... why even label it ??? Is just who i am . I am a male that finds other male sexually attractive. Nice to have a partner or sort ; marriage though is just unneccessary; as long as i get to meet hot guys during my lifetime.

  • Well.... i am gay and i dont really give a damn about gay politics/rights. Will like to have a life partner ; but feels that marriage is really unnecessary. Am a circuit boy and am into the singapore gay circuit scene; but really couldnt be bothered about u know.... advocating what rights i (a gay man) should have or not. Bottom line is I guess is to accepting and respecting people different lifestyle choices.

  • cool stuff

  • its all about love :)

  • being gay is not normal. i once felt strong attractions for the same sex too and many called me naturally gay. well but i learn that you are who you believe you are. so yea i love u guys but sorry i don't believe being a gay is natural as if there is anyone who can claim that being a gay is natural to them then its me who felt that attraction when i was only in my primary school days. but i'm not gay and i think its not normal to be one.

  • It would be helpful if you could specify *why* you think it's not normal...

  • Hi! The reason why i felt it is not normal is that if one takes a look at the male and female sex organs, they can see that they complement each other well. When male and female come together, kids are born . No same sex relationship can reproduce naturally. Of course many might disagree with me. It's also how people view others. Some thinks i'm gay because of what i like etc. But It is how you see yourself. Your believe in who you are is controlled by you. To me i determine what i desire.

  • Hi, thanks for your reply. So your argument is that homosexuality is not normal because 2 persons of the same sex cannot procreate. Women who are past menopause cannot reproduce either, no matter how virile their partner may be. Do you think that when women who are past menopause get married, have sex, seek help to get pregnant through the use of donor eggs etc. they are doing something that is not normal as well?

Also, I noticed that your definition of sexuality is somewhat unusual.

  • The point I'd like to make here is that there is a difference between "sexual orientation" and "sexual orientation *identity*". Sexual orientation is the emotional, romantic and sexual attraction to one gender/genders, and research shows that it is mostly unchangeable. Sexual orientation identity is how people identify their own sexuality, and is quite malleable.

  • For instance, someone who is attracted to people of the same sex can choose not to act on those attractions, remain celibate, and not identify as a homosexual. But this doesn't mean that his/her sexual orientation has changed, because the attractions remain.

This is a rather important distinction, IMO.

  • hates you too.

  • to your ignorance.

  • i know right

  • OMG PINK DOG AT 1:23!

  • This video is beautiful. :)

  • who the hell are you assholes to say what's right or wrong?! don't talk about religion!! imagine if there was a law deciding how you could live? WHAT'S THE DEFINITION OF WRONG?

  • ..and if blind people, deaf people, those with mental or physical disabilities, foreign labourers, maids, or any other more deserving group chose to gather in Singapore, where would be the attention, where would be the support from the bandwagon-jumping, fashionable-issue-hunters? Tell you where. Nowhere. What a brilliant lobbying con it's been, that what you like doing with your genitals makes you a bigger victim, a more worthy cause.

  • Are you sure you aren't mistaking actual men for dykes? I've lived in Singapore all my life and not seen any of these 'displays' you mention even once. On the other hand, I see straight couples making out in the train almost everyday...

  • fuck off Christian. go focus on your own life with God first before coming here telling people off how to live theirs. Are you responsible in answering to God about their lives? NO. So once again, focus on how you're gonna get to heaven with that fucked up, "self-righteous & holy my ass" mentality.

  • HAHA, GOD I'M LOVIN' THIS. KEEP IT COMING!!!

And yes! I guessed it right! And I'm pretty sure I'll see ya there too! CHEERS!

Wait, are you 14 or something?

  • I feel sad for you that you don't even seem to know that heterosexual transmission accounts for the vast majority of HIV infections...

And by the way, lesbian sex has the lowest rate of transmission of STDs. Does this mean that lesbian sex is particularly exalted by your God?

  • In the eyes of *your* God, you mean. What about the rest of us who are Buddhists, Hindus etc. or agnostic or atheist? Hindus for instance do not eat beef because cows are considered sacred in Hinduism. But you don't see Hindus declaring that beef-eating is an abomination and therefore should be outlawed, do you?

  • You've completely missed my point. Let me try and explain it again.

You say that in the eyes of your God, homosexuality is an abomination. Fine. In Hinduism, eating beef is an abomination. Despite this, Hindus are not calling for beef-eating to be outlawed. Many Christians in Singapore however, *do* insist on criminalising homosexual sex. Do you see it now? Singapore is supposed to be a secular state. Which means that religious convictions should not be a basis for our laws.

  • Yes, I am not a Christian. I am an atheist.

I do not think that homosexual sex is a sin, shameful or perverted because I do not base my beliefs on the Bible. The same goes with many other people in Singapore, where Christians account for only ~15% of the population. If Singapore was a Christian state, then sure, they can outlaw homosexuality if they base their laws on what is said in the Bible. But Singapore is a *secular* state.

  • "Laws are laws. It's the general concensus of the people, and not one particular religious group."

Excellent, this is what I've been saying all along! Mind, studies in Singapore have shown that there is increasing acceptance of homosexuality here, particularly among the younger generation.

  • Does homosexual sex "corrode the core of our values"? There are countries where homosexual acts are not only not criminalised, but same-sex marriage is actually legal, such as Sweden, Norway, Canada and Spain. I think you would be hard-pressed so say that the people in these countries have suffered from a corrosion of their moral values.

  • So if Singaporeans are not happy with our country's censorship laws, labour laws, election laws etc. they should just shut up and move to another country, too?

Some of us actually love our country enough that we want to make changes for the better.

  • My statement was "lesbian sex has the lowest rate of transmission of STDs" not "it is impossible to contract HIV through lesbian sex". Intercourse with someone who is HIV-infected will put one at risk of contracting HIV. The HIV virus (obviously) does not discriminate on the basis of sexual orientation.

The reason why lesbian sex has a lower rate of transmission is because females don't typically exchange so much bodily fluids during sex.

  • FYI, I have never had sex. With anyone. Male or female. And I don't plan to have it anytime in the near future, until I get married.

If I don't believe in (your) God, I must believe in the devil? That's a false dichotomy. I am atheist, by the way. I don't live my life on what any ancient books say.

  • An Atheist who was lost in a forest came across a hungry Bear which was about to eat him. He was so fearful, and he prayed and said if there is a God , although I don't believe in one! please make this bear a christian. God answered his prayer. The Bear went down on his knees and thanked God for the food( " The ATHIEST " ) that he was about to recieve and consume. Get the picture ????

  • Stop leaving bad comments! So STFU!Singapore is good!

  • That's beautiful...

  • red + white = pink.

(singapore's flag is red (symbolising brotherhood) on its top half, and its bottom half is white (virtuous). the top half has a white crescent moon(rising nation) and five stars (DPPJE- democracy, peace, progress, justice, equality

    omg- i rmb NE xD.

  • hahaha

    Singapore people also speak English.

    It is our colony.

  • wow. transformerbc really doesn't have a life. for the past 9 pages or so I see his name popping up.

    PINK DOT FTW

  • Oh. I almost pissed my pants.

  • I know many non-homosexuals who were in their death beds, regretting their actions too.

it isn't about how being a homosexual will lead to a regretful life, it is about how you live your life, & did one live it to the best & fullest.

Your stern warning is possibly one that has made me giggle. And you're gonna probably warn me again because I laughed this off.

Yes, I still am gonna do so.

Because as long as people like you exist, we exist.

  • and i suppose you must be the most righteous and cleanest thing on Earth?

Is that what your religion has taught you? To call people sick?

  • What on earth are you talking about? If ALL the GLBT people from all over the world came to reside in singapore ,maybe then you can observe a drop in birth rate.

Being gay is not a choice. No ONE would want to choose to live this way. So grow up and do some faithful research would ya.

  • U're missing the big picture and u're missing my point.

  • don't agree that i am missing the big picture but i understand your comments better now.

  • Im sure being gay is not by choice-.-

  • Lol thats what i meant.

  • I was being sarcastic.

  • Ouh. Get a life. =)

  • Okay, you too.

  • I am living it.

    isn't the closet dark?

  • And btw.. if you were a Singaporean, U would actually realize that our petty government is trying its level best to increase the birth rate. Its already at its bottom.

Conservative societies die off very fast. Singapore will not really die but sink.

    Stop the hate! Propagate Love!

  • What is affecting the fertility rate is those who can pop our babies make an informed and well thought of choice of not making babies. Now that's a choice...

  • Ohmygosh, this is AWESOME.

  • Wish me n my bf were there.. when are they going to hold this type of even again???

  • God Bless Singapore

    ^_____^

  • It was great to know the first LGBT gathering was held in Hong LIm Park. I first go there in back april 1978 and love that place till today...lovely memories, sad happenings and joyous moment too and i think many of us who have been to that place are happy to know it had go down in history as our very first gathering for the LGBT 2009...Looking forward to PinkDot 2010

  • This is so AWESOME!! I used to work in Singapore in 2001/2002, and in those years being Gay was just legalized, but still the police would raid the Gay bars and harass us. To see just 7 years later how open-minded this most beautiful country has become warms my heart. WHOOPEE!!

  • I love this vid and their comments. Singapore need more people like them.

  • i have the track!

what's your email? i can email it to ya!

  • Thanks !!!! you too......

  • 1000 my ass... ST cannot count issit??

  • can someone please SHUT TRANSFORMERBC the hell up!! he's the reason the whole world is in such a mess. he's the reason hate still lives on. he's everything - EVERYTHING - that's wrong with the world today. but you should know TRANSFORMERBC, that YOU, are losing this one. have a nice death you twisted, hate-filled, secretly-in-the-closet moron!!

  • By your nonsensical analogy, today you want to criminalise sex sex marriage, tomorrow you want to criminalise oral sex, next time sex in any position other than missionary, finally, u want to criminalise sex itself unless it is for procreation without condom!

Wait till the day you can produce a baby by virgin birth, then talk! Otherwise, shut up! Keep your god - if it even exist - to yourself! SG IS A SECULAR COUNTRY.

He who talks faeces first shld go eat sh*t. That's you. haha

  • typo. not "sex sex", but "same sex".

  • Ha Ha said the gay clown. I've got AIDS

  • uhmm. China has legalised homosexuality btw. :)

  • I don't think homosexuality was ever criminalized in China to begin with...

  • I thank God for blessing this event. I thank God for the good weather that day. I thank God that through pinkdot, lives are and will be changed for the better. I thank God that the walls of discrimination, homophobia, self-righteousness, intolerance, bigotry and lovelessness are starting to fall not just within the churches. I thank God for the organisers. I am blessed.

    Amen

  • trans,

you will be qualified to say that, after you have bought over Singapore and own the Island - that is, provided we are willing to sell it to you. Till then, you are not fit to tell anybody to leave the country. You don't own this place. We own it as much as you do. Don't have such a thick skin.

Why you compare homosexuality to eating faeces? Has your mother been feeding you sh*t for a long time? Is that why u have a sh*t brain that cannot think logically? Y your mom teach u to hate?

  • I was using "SOME people (i.e. your type) think that only blacks have aids" as an analogy to YOUR illogical discrimination of homosexuals, you retard!

If you want to remain in the middle age where homosexuals and oral sex are illegal, go elsewhere and buy yoru own Island! Why stay here and hold back sg from joining the world community.

Few of us are happy with status quo. And these people have no balls, so they have to pretend to have the support of the majority - which they don't! LOL
