It is very important to check transmission fluid level and it is equally important to know the proper technique in order to know how to do so. Thank you very much
Its rare for anyone nowaday's living in civilized area's to have any from of iodine defiency, as there is a large amount of it added to food salts such as sodium chloride. There is also a ample amount found in treated water supplies. Outside of the rareity of Iodine deficiency your more likely to develop Goiter. As for the downs aspect this is a mixup as iodine definecy causes Cretinism commonly mis-diagnoised as downs.
The only way you wont get enough iodine in your intake is if you live far inland, drink well water only, and dont eat anything with perservatives (this pretty much covers everything in a grocery store minus the fresh greens) all contain some level of iodised salt. I dont know about Venezuela but in the US and most other non-third world countries its vary rare to see anyone with a iodine definency due to iodised salts and iodine water treatments becoming standard.
I have a 2001 Ford Windstar that I took to AAMOCO yesterday for a free diagnostic. They said my tranny was leaking in the front and rear seals. I was quoted $1179.00 to replace the seals alone or suggested to do a complete overhaul with a new torque converter ($379.00) for about $1800.00. I think I'll just keep adding fluid until I find a better deal.
What about the lines going into the radiator? wouldn't you check there also? what would you do if they were leaking? do the stop leak products really work?
Oil change additive: quarter to half the bottle depending on how rough your car is running per oil change.
Transmission additive: With every transmission fluid change every 30K.
These are a few examples of additives that could help instead of the stop leak stuff... I admit The stop leak stuff is garbage for some cars, but works for others.. so beware. Do you own a Japanese car..? They work well with GMC's..

DO NOT use any stop leak stuff for any problem
stop leak for a transmission gunks up the parts and can cause an even bigger leak or stuff up the trans oil cooler.
stop fuel system leak turns you injectors into shit
and stop engine leak fucks your oil filter
stop coolant system leak turns your heater core into a lead weight.
if somthing leaks pay top dollar to get it repaired proffessionally!
do not jerry rid your ride!

Lucas OIL:
Fuel system cleaner: every 6K
Oil change additive: quarter to half the bottle depending on how rough your car is running per oil change.
Transmission additive: With every transmission fluid change every 30K.
