haha typical old rover shite, the speedo doesn't work says it all really. bet yer head gaskets fucked too and yer rear arches r rusty and wheel bearings r shot and trailing arm bushes will be fucked too, fuckin nobjockey buy a proper car that was built by ppl who kno wot their doin

why bother u prick you know nothing about rovers an my dad had a 214sli it done 220,000 miles without any rust or engine probs it was still mint condition al he spent on it was service, cambelt, breaks.
@galaxychoc The Rover 214 is a GREAT car,solid,reliable,with an advanced engine WAY ahead of it's time and the reason head gaskets blow,is because people don't check oil and coolant levels. Any car will break if not serviced. The builders of these cars were very proud people,nearly all of them drove Rovers to work.The closedown was due to bad management. I am on my third Rover 214 and it is great,never had any problems with any of them.Early '90's Ford Escort anyone? Not bloody likely.
dont know what it is about the rover engine but i love the surge and noise it gives and high rpm. sei owner here :D

nah mate its a fuckin rude car, for a 1.4 it pulls like anything, iv had this same car for about a year now and its the 95 model, amazing condition.
