Thanks, I am aware that the R44 can run down quite quick, I had half a dozen 20min flights and stopped for a break after the 5th and I felt the power struggle on that start up and felt like i only just managed to turn her over.
@colin5016 I think given the option anyone with access to External Power would take it. If it's there why not use it, especially when its such an important flight. If the aircraft is going to be doing long flights there is enough time for the battery to recharge, but doing short flights with starts at each the battery takes a pounding.
