it was a lot of talking but I enjoyed it. I like to hear how your mind interprets music and then expresses it on mandolin. we're all jealous of your talent.
Great tips, Jim. I'll be doing my best to learn from it. Can I make a couple of critical observations that are only intended to help you improve your video lessons?
1. Get a seat that doesn't revolve; it is VERY distracting watching you rotate from side to side for the first few minutes of the clip.
2. Talk less and play more. More time playing the tune it and breaking it down for guys like me to watch the PLAYING over and over - that way I can learn so much.
great stuff.

Hi JIm!! Im a member of the Mandolin Cafe :)
I was wondering, Im trying to direct mor of my style to that of "Cheuck Berry" and "Carl Perkins" early elvis type stuff.
Is this blues /rock? 50s rock?
How would you suggest I practice to get into this sound of playing?
