I just watched all of your videos from cna to rn and it gave me a great deal of encouragement to get my cna licsense first. I currently already work as a careegiver at a nursing home which basicaly does everything a cna does just lesser pay so in feb ill be taken my cna class but I havent decided if i want to become a nurse been leaning more towards phelbotomist but i just wanted to tell you your videos are alot of help...Also how long does nursing school take?

@zappy158 Hello, don't let the horrible stories scare you. They almost scared me too, but if you love and have a heart for people, it will not be hard to let things roll off of your back. You have to remember to just put yourself in the situation of those whom you are caring for.
@Naturallylosingit (con't) How would you feel if your family dropped you off at a nursing home or if no one came to visit you...or it seems that no one cares about you? As a CNA that is where you come in to make the difference. If you keep all of this in mind then your compassion will grow and you will not take it personal.
this is so true! i got a job as a CNA well i have only been there two days the first night i hated it and wanted to quit but then i thought about it and decided to stick with it but so far i love it everyone is nice workers and residents. i was going to say that i thought would be helpful for all CNAs out there that when most of the other CNAs are busy dont be afraid to as a nurse to help you with a resident, thats what i was told in CNA training. and i already done it once :)
I think that it is so true about properly fitting uniforms. I live in NY, there are so many stores that sell inexpensive uniforms between $4 to $9.
When I was in CNA classes, I seen a lot of girls pants showing their backside. Or ink, hair dye, and whatever you can think of. And the big one, wrinkled. It was getting to be so much that one day I made a speech on work ethics in the classroom. I did it because the other person and myself may apply to the same places, and if they see that this per

@Firstlady0207 I think it depends on where you live. I live in FL and they cut CNA's to nurses so it can be a little tough finding a job here.
