  • Hey Steve!! I took your course a few years back, and had a ball! I'm still striping in the summertime, plan to renew and treat myself to some new product this year, anything new and cool?! Ps, thanks for the inspiration and lessons and continued wisdom!! Love these videos!

  • @Bag2dragac10 Great to hear from you, the new cool stuff is on my site steve kafka.com. Look forward to hearing from you.

    Regards,

    Steve

  • @thesoria1 lacquer thinner is only used to quickly clean out the color in you brush between colors. There are several types of One Shot Paint ,the one that concerns pinstripers is an oil based sign paint ,it used to have lead in it but the bunny huggers sued the company to get it removed, causing the paint to not cover well ,and not be as durable,There are many new paints on the market , but I still prefer the old stand by.

  • I have a #3 brush and my husband got me a Mack 000 brush, what do you use that brush for???

  • @missbettie100 Some people use it to stripe with

  • Hello Steve,

    wht is your website,

or where can your stuff like the grid

    and flow enhancer be bought??

    thanks

    D.

  • this is a bit of a stupid ques. but how do you get the lines from the grid off without messing up the stripes?

  • whats the advantage of using either urethane or enamel paints ? which would you use on an automotive finish ?

    thanks

  • @RATRODKING The only paint I use is one shot ,I've tried euros and couldn't get them to cover at all, You can clearcoat enamels if you know what your doing, and that is the only advantage I can see for using euros you don't have to have a clue for clearcoat .Lot of guys use them I think the paint and the companies that make them all suck ,thats my opinion.

  • new to stripin the pencil you used on the paper is that a wax pencil and can it be used on cars.

  • The pencil is made by staedtler and it's called omnichrome it wont melt and cleans up welllwith a micro-fiber cloth and windex after the paint sets up,obviously.

  • awsome

  • Okay, now I'm in the mood to get to work.

  • are you improvising???

  • All of my design work both Kafka style and ol skool are improvised .I get a feel for the space keeping in mind the client the flow ,balance ,color and where I would like to end up. The first color sets the design all the next additional colors add weight and of course the wow effect to the production. When I first look at a new canvas there are design problems that must be addressed ,motion is extremely important to the overall production, again keeping im mind the Q&A with the client. • were can i buy ur brush

  • im new to striping what is the difference between a scrolling and regular pinstripe brush?

  • scrollers that I designed are made with round ferels long liners have flat ferels and the .hair works like a knife.scrollers can do short run 2-4 ft long lines and old skool designs longliners dont do curves well at all unless you roll the brush between your fingers. If your just starting and want to have fun and not get frustrated start with a#3 stripe on steve

  • thank you

  • what brush it that one

  • It's a Kafka Scroller series # 3
