Ive been playing this game recently, because i want to play the second. But, im finding after a few hours I know when its going to happen, when a slasher is going to jump out and try and rape me, it was scary for about 30 min i would say. Then the totally scripted nature of this game made it not scary for me, but still SUPER fun.

I bought dead space 2 on disc. And it tells me whenever i make an ea account or try to sign in with one, :Your account has no permission or it has been disabled. I cant figure out how to fix this problem, Somebody please help me!

If they had the creators of this game as consultants and gave them a hands on approach to the project, this would make an excellent horror film. Like one that is actually scarry and can disturb you, like say David Cronenbergs movies how the gore wasn't used for the sake of gore, but to accent the disturbing elements of it all. Things that make you sqirm in your seats and truely make your skil crawl. Add that human element that's missing in alot of horror movies and you are good to go.
Lol I find the necromorphs scarey as hell, but I love the adrenaline when you have them all coming out of nowhere and you have to shoot without proper aiming. I give this game a 5 Stars :)

Dead Space is one of the few games lately that comes with a soul.
MW2? Bollocks, profit oriented rape of something that used to be a great game
Sims3? Same shit, people bought all the 27 expansions for Sims 2, they're gonna buy Sims3 too.
And so on. You can really feel while playing DS that creators actually see this game as some kind of art, that they wanted their creation to be good. That's what makes DS.
i give Cudos to the Deadpace crew. they made an amazing..but underated game. i am an Instant fan of Deadspace. and i think this is actually the 1st time a game or anything giving me a good scare. very good game. just looking at the game makes you know that they put alot of time and effort into this game. hell if the team were to make the halo flood levels. they'd probably be fun and pretty scary LOL. i'm forsure gonna buy Deadspace 2. Maybe even the Limited edition.. if that ever happens. lol

My brother plays games on an Xbox--his first comment when he saw this on my comp was how much better the PC version looked. I sure hope they follow through with a sequel for the PC, and don't turn their backs on PC gamers who really loved the original.

just read an article about it, looks amazing, definitely has multiplayer (although not much was revealed) takes place on a massive space station, apparently dwarfing the Ishimura! Also they say issac will talk and become more of a character in the sequel, all in all looks fantastic
That's one thing I'm hoping for, we got some info on Isaac through his commentary on the objectives screen and some logs, and we see the story as he sees it, but it's not like Uncharted 2 or something.

The part at 3:30, with the Necro head manning the engineer's body... never happens in the game. Was that a special death animation or something? Played through three times and never saw it.
it's kind of like a special death. i've gotten it. you have to let the little necro heads start choking you, then they like destroy your head, its pretty crazy...
it comes from the necromorph called the "Divider" its a tall slow and skinny necro and if you shoot it, it dosnt roll of ver and die it splits into three peaces to armes and its head if the head grabes you your screwed.
It's a rare death sequence when it comes to the guys that split apart. If you get killed by the head when it jumps on you (Which is pretty tough) it'll decapitate you and take place of your head.
i wonder how dead space 2 will work though. for one will it still be on a ship?
*spoiler* and would the main character be issac again cos at the end, you get attacked by Necromorphed Nicole but it shoots to black, so you dont know whether he survived or not

the new game informer shows dead space 2 as the cover story. he is alive and he talks now and he is in all new combat armor not engineer armor. and its not on the ishimura. its like in a giant floating city space craft. and he is there AS everything is getting infected.

And from what you siad im picturing the story as this.... at the beginning,your ship drifts like in Alien3, a few dudes discover your location and boards your ship to find you still alive. Isaac survived. The Nicole could have been a hallucination. This game is set on The Sprawl, which is a shard of one of Saturn's moons. The infection hits and Isaac is the only one who knows how to kill them.
That woudl be fun actually, but lets hope the game doesnt become strinctly co-op like resident evil 5. Cause i resident evil 5 i personally hate the fact that they obligate you to play Co-op, cause that takes away all the fun from the horror survival genre.
i think all the developers of all the horror games (Silent Hill, Resident evil, Dead space, condemned and F.E.A.R.) should get together and make one of the most scariest game ever. or someone needs to add the main scare factors from those games. Like they need to add the Mental scaryness of Silent Hill, the physical scaryness of Condemned and Dead Space and Resident evil 4 (the regenerators were freaky) and the actual play style of F.E.A.R.

This game is not art. It's your typical Doom 3 monster-spawn-behind-you-startling kind of scary, which only gets you the first couple of times unless you're a 15 year old who buys into hyped PS3 and Xbox 360 "LOL GRAPHICS!!" games.

Really? I actually liked it. I would wait for around 10 pm, close the door, turn up the volume and play. I never really cared about the story, didn't know it was copied. It's a nice gory game, not scary of course. It's just a suspense game. I've actually never played a scary game... is there such a thing?
I recommend that you play the Penumbra series, starting with Overture. Not only is the game incredibly intelligent, but it's also PSYCHOLOGICALLY scary, which Dead Space should have been.
Google "zero punctuation dead space", he did a pretty nice review of it.

I looked them up, very interesting. But unfortunately, my computer sucks golden balls when it comes to gaming. So I don't think it will run it, or if it does, the quality would be just plain awful. Saw the trailers and somehow reminds me of Half Life, nice game btw.

I have to disagree. I remember seeing Event Horizon when it came out in theaters many years ago and I can recall how awful it was. The only thing this game and Event Horizon have in common is that someone painted the inside of a spaceship with body parts.
I'm playing through Dead Space a second time after beating it when it first came out on PC, and I can say that I am enjoying it almost as much the second time around, which is unusual. I'll be awaiting future installments.

The part at 3:30, with the Necro head manning the engineer's body... never happens in the game. Was that a special death animation or something? Played through three times and never saw it.

it's kind of like a special death. i've gotten it. you have to let the little necro heads start choking you, then they like destroy your head, its pretty crazy...

it comes from the necromorph called the "Divider" its a tall slow and skinny necro and if you shoot it, it dosnt roll of ver and die it splits into three peaces to armes and its head if the head grabes you your screwed.

It's a rare death sequence when it comes to the guys that split apart. If you get killed by the head when it jumps on you (Which is pretty tough) it'll decapitate you and take place of your head.

*spoiler* and would the main character be issac again cos at the end, you get attacked by Necromorphed Nicole but it shoots to black, so you dont know whether he survived or not

the new game informer shows dead space 2 as the cover story. he is alive and he talks now and he is in all new combat armor not engineer armor. and its not on the ishimura. its like in a giant floating city space craft. and he is there AS everything is getting infected.

omg i just jizzed at reading what you siad..... Combat armour, he talks this time?? And from what you siad im picturing the story as this.... at the beginning,your ship drifts like in Alien3, a few dudes discover your location and boards your ship to find you still alive. They take you into there floating space city to heal you up and debrief, thats when all hell breaks loose, as your still in the medical bay, you hear distant screams and bam necromorph invasion all over again

now i jizzed dude in the magazine it says the first level is a hospital! all you said is probably right! and now they have toddler necro's. they are in-between the baby and adult forms. they look like 7-10.

Isaac survived. The Nicole could have been a hallucination. This game is set on The Sprawl, which is a shard of one of Saturn's moons. The infection hits and Isaac is the only one who knows how to kill them.

That woudl be fun actually, but lets hope the game doesnt become strinctly co-op like resident evil 5. Cause i resident evil 5 i personally hate the fact that they obligate you to play Co-op, cause that takes away all the fun from the horror survival genre.

i think all the developers of all the horror games (Silent Hill, Resident evil, Dead space, condemned and F.E.A.R.) should get together and make one of the most scariest game ever. or someone needs to add the main scare factors from those games. Like they need to add the Mental scaryness of Silent Hill, the physical scaryness of Condemned and Dead Space and Resident evil 4 (the regenerators were freaky) and the actual play style of F.E.A.R.

lol could been possiable..but their busy making their own squeal..F.E.A.R is good with alma appearing here and there..poping up behind you..F.E.A.R company could really scare players easily with horrific spirits..i would suggest dead crew men covered in blood..a ghost..and while in Dead space 2..issac walking halfway..suddenly at the Glass window..the guy covered in blood pops out at the window..and said "Their all Dead..'..in deep scary way

This game is not art. It's your typical Doom 3 monster-spawn-behind-you-startling kind of scary, which only gets you the first couple of times unless you're a 15 year old who buys into hyped PS3 and Xbox 360 "LOL GRAPHICS!!" games.
Oh wait.
It has no real characters. The story is taken directly from the movie Event Horizon. I wouldn't even have minded the lack of story if it actually was what it's trying so goddamn hard to be: scary.

Really? I actually liked it. I would wait for around 10 pm, close the door, turn up the volume and play. I never really cared about the story, didn't know it was copied. It's a nice gory game, not scary of course. It's just a suspense game. I've actually never played a scary game... is there such a thing?

I recommend that you play the Penumbra series, starting with Overture. Not only is the game incredibly intelligent, but it's also PSYCHOLOGICALLY scary, which Dead Space should have been.
Google "zero punctuation dead space", he did a pretty nice review of it.
Another scary (at certain times), and incredible game is Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines. Send me a message if you're interested in it, and I'll help you with some unofficial patches for it.

I looked them up, very interesting. But unfortunately, my computer sucks golden balls when it comes to gaming. So I don't think it will run it, or if it does, the quality would be just plain awful. Saw the trailers and somehow reminds me of Half Life, nice game btw.

VTMB runs on the source engine, which is why it looks alike. If you can play Dead Space then you can play these games. Both have low requirements.

It's not meant to make fun of games, it's meant to be honest. And even if he wasn't being honest, he's still right. This game is not scary. It's fun for 30 minutes, like Assassin's Creed.

I have to disagree. I remember seeing Event Horizon when it came out in theaters many years ago and I can recall how awful it was. The only thing this game and Event Horizon have in common is that someone painted the inside of a spaceship with body parts.
I'm playing through Dead Space a second time after beating it when it first came out on PC, and I can say that I am enjoying it almost as much the second time around, which is unusual. I'll be awaiting future installments.
