GTI over siroco, because FF is just not meant to be sports cars. so why pretend to be one? BE a gti with ALL its practicality and it does come with the NEW engine, not the one from the old GTI. and u get super good boot space, +1 SEAT!

It's the overall average I'm looking at mainly, surely if I want a car that ONLY has a lot of power, or ONLY is comfortable I could get a much better deal, but that's not what I want. I just like the fact that I can switch between a comfort and sports mode whenever I want, I can either drive fast, and have fun, or drive slow, and have comfort. It is a transmission for stupid lazy ppl, who will drive all the time at 5k rpms, rather than shift down and overtake on manual :)
Golf Gti is a very good car. I mean you buy a car that has it all with no exceptions. And don't tell me it hasn;t got any feeling. Feeling is something that doesn't exist in a car. Only dynamics and lateral accelerations. And in those things it does great

And the worst part that this is a GOLF > thousands of them on the streets, and the GTI has minor styling changes.
But I like the interior of the car.... just glad I didnt buy this car and if You are thinking about getting this, please reconsider - check the new MPS, RS, a little more and You'd get S3... new lancer or a WRX. Many cars in similar price range and the golf is just a golf.
I have driven this car this week. My daily car is Mazda 3 mps and my short review is :
Dont get GTI with dsg its not worth the money and im getting no connection with the car becouse of the DSG. The car is also slow from a dig becouse of the DSG. It has little torque steer but this is why its slow (comparing to mps). It is very expensive and the kit such as NAVI, leather seats its so expensive - not worth it. And the fuel economy sucks really bad... I would prefer a Focus RS or the new MPS.

It's exterior is amazingly beautiful, you don't see them as often as all the Golfs (GtI).
It sticks a little bit better on the road.
To me it's just an amazing ride

@bichoorojo Thank you for trying to defend me, but I really don't care if they "insult" the language I speak and I can understand their point of view perfectly. In fact, I think most languages , especially English (British, not American) and France, sound better than Dutch.
I do get your point, though. You read these comments on EVERY Autoblogger video and that does get tiresome. It's just as annoying as everyone posting random Justin Bieber comments to get thumbs up.

and for ur information : not only will u pay more for the GOLF and You will see it on every corner in diesel version with a granny inside, and u will be left with shitty economy and dsg and then you will meet a MS3 or focus RS or audi S3... and the will tottaly own You. Then You will make some chip to your GTI, but still You will get owned but hey at least not that much. And you will be driving a granny car.

I don't think there is anyone who buys a GTI to "own" all other cars, like you say.
You have to remember, we're Golf Drivers and civilized, unlike you.
I have been driving a Golf V R32 for the past four years now, and I never even tried to "own" other cars.
If that's your goal than you're just a dumbass retard.
Sure you can buy yourself an FocusRS or whatever.
Personally I'm going to order this GTI. The quality of the interior etc is just superb and is far superior to the cars you mentioned.

I mean hell, I drive an old focus, give me something with that kind of power and pretty much all I'd do is show off, these things are made for practicality, but for speed. I'm talkin bout the golf here, not my focus, that however is made to be practical.

@gf1989 Actually, I do have the car for around 8 months now, and I'm very pleased by it. It's the overall average I'm looking at mainly, surely if I want a car that ONLY has a lot of power, or ONLY is comfortable I could get a much better deal, but that's not what I want. I just like the fact that I can switch between a comfort and sports mode whenever I want, I can either drive fast, and have fun, or drive slow, and have comfort. I don't use the car to show off, I don't lower my level to that.

Uhm... Golf drivers are civilized? In my life ive only been hit by a car 3 times... by 3 Golf's. Never had any problems with other cars.

Wow, I never read more BS on here than the crap from you.
There is no better automatic transmission than DSG, it's ultrafast, and the manual mode is just amazing.
And your friend is a total dumbass. You can't put 300hp on a FWD car.
Oh and, the Focus RS loses 1/3 of its power, because Ford failed to put the power on the street.
According to latest Reviews it needs 7s from 0-100. Which is just as fast as the GTI.

And im not saying that DSG is a bad transmission, i know its the best auto trans, but even so i dont like it. It seems faster to me when im in charge not the trans > at least at the launch (where the DSG sucks ass) and at overtaking (where it put the car in revs all the time).
It is a transmission for stupid lazy ppl, who will drive all the time at 5k rpms, rather than shift down and overtake on manual :)

Golf Gti is a very good car. I mean you buy a car that has it all with no exceptions. And don't tell me it hasn;t got any feeling. Feeling is something that doesn't exist in a car. Only dynamics and lateral accelerations. And in those things it does great

And the worst part that this is a GOLF > thousands of them on the streets, and the GTI has minor styling changes.
But I like the interior of the car.... just glad I didnt buy this car and if You are thinking about getting this, please reconsider - check the new MPS, RS, a little more and You'd get S3... new lancer or a WRX. Many cars in similar price range and the golf is just a golf.

I have driven this car this week. My daily car is Mazda 3 mps and my short review is :
Dont get GTI with dsg its not worth the money and im getting no connection with the car becouse of the DSG. The car is also slow from a dig becouse of the DSG. It has little torque steer but this is why its slow (comparing to mps). It is very expensive and the kit such as NAVI, leather seats its so expensive - not worth it. And the fuel economy sucks really bad... I would prefer a Focus RS or the new MPS.

I highly doubt that you ever drove this car.
I mean, just your statements about how it's "slow" because of the DSG. You should google up Launch Control in regards to DSG.
And surely you can prefer a Focus RS, if you want a car that blows 1/3 of its HP right into the air.

just LOL. Yes i drove this car at my dealer for test drive. I came in my Mazdaspeed3 and I said it straight that i need something fast as the ms3. I was driving on sport mode but without using those shifters in the steering wheel - cuz its just lol (F1 in family car rotfl) AND GTI IS SLOW AS HELL. my friend got a 300

so my friend got a 300hp gti and it is only a bit faster then my MS3.
And DSG is stupid, there is no auto trans to make faster overtaking than manual.
And GTI is overpriced, is slow, its almost on every corner a disel version or something.
Its a bad car :)
And Focus RS is a good car, its faster stock than my friends 300hp GTI (modded with tons of money)

R32 is no longer available, instead they will put smaller TSI engine (2.0) but with turbo. So now it's called R20.
