@mummra4ever mumma, there are a few episodes in which the octor uses scanners and devices other than his sonic scew driver. mainly, the producers of the show felt that the doctor should mostly use his intelligence over devices even if that is illogical. The tardis has unlimited storage space on the inside so potentially the doctor could create anything he wanted. But that would defeat the purpose of the show.

The comment tha tNicola Bryuant could have meant by in interview could be related to The Mark of the Rani which was filmed in October 1984 and that was location,it's the nearest to November that they filmed in her time on the show and in Colin Baker's time come to that.

That story called Attack of the Cybermen was not filmed in November it was filmed in May 1984. The only story that they fimed in November from this series was Timelash and that was all done in Studio, which would have been if anything on the warm side,especially with the studio lights. In fact it was the only Colin Baker story to filmed in November.

to be honest i think john nathan turner didnt know what the devil he was doing when he took over as producer for doctor who. Colin baker is an excellent actor and they really took him to task due to the bbcs shortcomings at that time.
