Howaya. I was thinkin of getting a Charvel Pro Mod So-cal but I'd like an opinion first. Would ye recommond a so-cal? And by the way I've had some bad experiences with floyd roses because of an old Jackson I had, what is the tremolo like on a so-cal?

@MrFoley100 I have another Charvel SoCal that isn't part of the video and It's my main guitar. I assembled it from parts and it's incredible. I'd highly recommend a socal. You can always block the trem or tighten it down with extra springs. Charvel made a Wild Card Pro Mod San Dimas with a Hard Tail. Maybe you should look on Ebay for one. The Great thing about Charvel's is that hardware is easily interchangeable, so you can make any Charvel work for whatever your style is.

Nice! I just bought a snow white San Dimas. I want to put cream pickup rings on it for purely cosmetic reasons. Can you tell me what brand or where you buy your pickup rings from? I wannna make sure i get the right size and fit and the ones you have on your charvels look like they do the job nicely....

@wavtracks My favorite pickups are Seymour Duncan's. My favorite neck pup is a 59' w/ an A2 magnet. My favorite bridge pups are a Custom with an A8 magnet and the Invader. They all sound really nice for coil splitting too. I buy metal PU rings off ebay.

how much are charvel customs and would you say you prefer the san dimas neck over the jackson style neck

@deathcoresucks1 CS Charvel's start at about $1500 for a TMZ Natural, and go up from there. I love the San Dimas Neck Profile. I don't like the Jackson RR1/ Soloist neck. I like the Jackson Speed and PC1 necks. the DK1 is ok.

What are some of the differences between the Charvels that have the JB in the bridge and those that have a Tone Zone in the bridge? I hear the JB is similiar to an early Van Halen sound, and the Tone Zone is basically the pickup that was in the original EVH Wolfgangs in the early 90s.

@george14141414 Top mounted and floating, but depending on how you adjust the hight of the bridge, you can set it to dive only if you want.
