@baldeeee I've got a lab-retriever called Rocky and he's the cutest, most beatifull pet I've ever owned.  He loves a good cuddle and enjoys his food, a bit too much. Got him on a diet at the moment as he's getting tubby which labs are prone to do. 14 Miles a day walk and he's still chubby!! Still love him to bits xxx

There aren't any best dogs. Put money in one end and get shit out the other just so you can step in it and have to constantly be picking it up, not to mention the number one annoyance to neighbors is the barking. hey people i need a dog that can withstand 93 degrees F all the way down to -30 degrees F, i need it to be active but not too much, not too damn big or small 90 pounds and 26-30 in. tall (at shoulder or however its measured) is ideal, it can not shed much maybe light-medium light for 3-4 months a year, and it must be fearless, loyal, and easy to train, and does what i say exactly when i say it with no hesitation (once trained), it needs to be able to keep up with me.

This is just my opinion, but border collies and huskies are THE best dogs EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have a border collie puppy named holly and her breed is one of the best family dogs plus they're the most intelligent breed fact wise (not my opinion, it's a fact). Why did you put pit bulls? those things are not good pets because they're instinct is to fight. I respect anyones opinion on them I just personally agree with them being kept as pets.

As some one else stated, there may be better breeds for certain tasks but all dogs deserve thier fair shake. what one person doesn't like another person does. Shepherds are a fantastic dog,hence why they are a fantastic choice for police work. Pitbulls are awesome. So are poodles. Pick one that suits your life style and be a good owner.

I disagree completely with this list. There is no "best" dog breed altogether. THere are "best" dog breedsfor each job, but not in everything.

For example. The Border Collie is probably the best cattle dog. And the Bull Terrier is the best fighting dog.

The Australian cattle dog is the best all round dog in my opinion, not the German Shepherd.
