When Slayer is fighting you can tell that he's not even fighting close to his full potential. Valkenhayn, while probably not going all out, does not show any restraint, either. When he's getting hit, it hurts. When he's attacking he's putting effort into it. With Slayer, you can easily tell he could be doing a lot more than he is.
