@queenofyeay@dieselcrawler86 Great discussion guys. Dialogue and differing points of view will only drive us all to seek the truth more and to improve ourselves! One thing is clear, you both are passionate about your trade, and you demand the best. Something to remember about TCA, we are a NEW brand in the industry and understand cautiousness from experienced professionals. Our principal goal is to provide a quality professional grade product fit for professional use, nothing less.
with a box that big you must be a pro, but a mechanic once told me" real mechanics dont use vicegrips" ofcource,, he did have 2 pair in the back of his box just incase. why do you have 3742 pair??
@colbycous Real mechanics don't use vice grips???? As a heavy duty mechanic with over 30 yrs experience and a wall of tool boxes over 12 feet wide, I can tell you that vice grips (of all shapes and sizes) are very valuable tools. For fabrication of metal they are practically indispensable. For welding, for simply holding items to grind, polish or drill. But a BODY man without vice grips?? That is not likely. I myself have a drawer with maybe half as many vice grips, but I'm not a body man!
Eight casters...impressive. Sweet toolbox. Keep the vids coming fellow Albertan. I plan on doing a "whats in my tool box" soon. Just need to find the time(it won't be as impressive as your colletion). I also owned a snapon and liked it....just couldn't see eye to eye with the dealer when it came time to trade in and up grade.Oh well. Great vid.
not bad...I will never knock another mans tool box. But, may I ask how much? And do you have the capacity of my Macsimizer (check out my vid)? Also, are the casters spring loaded?.............A lot of weight there.
@dennis198007 That is a fantastic box you have, and you should be proud! The 72" 3 piece set seen above has a capacity of approximately 25,000 square inches, and 100,000 cubic inches. Not sure on the capacity of your box! But in general, the entire dimension of the above is Length 72" + 22" (Side cabinet), height 66" (including the 8" casters) and 30" deep. We don't have spring loaded casters, but we DO have six wheels under the roller cabinet (most have only four) and... (see next comment)
@dennis198007 and we have another two wheels on our side cabinet, so the box above has a total of 8 casters which distributes the weight much more evenly and gives less resistance to move your full tool box around. We appreciate your comments!
you bought a tca box because you could not afford a snap on box why bullshit people. Nothing wrong with that box as you're not a pro so its all good just don't lie and bullshit people on youtube.
Thank you so much for your feedback! You have precisely pointed out what the end user can get when purchasing a TCA Professional Tool Storage Solution product. We provide a quality product that suits the needs for a professional, at affordable pricing. We are an alternative to the expensive name brands in the market! We have had great responses from professionals when introducing them to our products and encourage you to get your hands on one and see for yourself!
@jonathanevans1990 an how the fuck do you know hes not a pro. i mean what right do you have. reed the video info "Ed is a Journeyman Bodyman of 31 years" what is your definition of pro? Oh i know if the box was snap on he would be a pro right. all you do is go on other tool videos and bash. yo don't know the man in that video and you cant determine his level of skill.
@jonathanevans1990 Only because he was offered a really good deal by TCA to do so. They basically gave him the box. They did and still do this with certain other people to try and up there sales.
@HunterCO1 You mean to tell me that anyone without a toolbox from a tool truck, isn't a professional? That's pretty funny, I guess I'll send my paycheck back... for 30+ years I've been a highly paid diesel mechanic, i have never once felt the urge to (IMO) waste money on a damn status symbol which, after holding your tools, is the only thing a tool truck box is good for. Peer pressure might be a motivator for some I guess, but I'd rather have extra money in MY pocket, not the Mac man's.
@queenofyeay I think you have a valid point. But I also think times have changed. Buying a brand name box is not being a consumer whore, It shows that you have some devotion to your trade. Yes cheap tools work, but they never work as good. Now him answering all these questions you can tell he only did it because he got a deal on something for doing it and that box will never last as long as a snap on or mac or matco box.
@DieselCrawler86 You are right, I do have a valid point! I own several non-tool truck boxes that are WAY older than you and have lasted me 30 years and still work very well, I think they'll last me another thirty years easily. If you treat your tools properly they will last a lifetime, even longer actually. I don't need tool truck tools (though I do own some) because I use my tools not abuse my tools. The propaganda of the tool truck guys is very persuasive. But it is just propaganda.
You can only show a devotion to your trade, if you buy a tool truck tool box, Really? If a tool works properly and does the job, then a tool works. I don't care if I got it from a yard sale for $1 or you bought it from the Mac man for $180. In the end, what matters is the quality of the work you do, not the brand of your tools. Obviously, tool truck tools are well made. But if I find a good used $500 Matco shop battery tester at an estate sale for $40 am I showing less devotion or more?
@DieselCrawler86 Times have changed? That's arrogant. Yes, the times have changed, 30 years ago when I was starting out, the guys I knew, we listened to the good advice of guys that had been doing the job for longer than we had been alive. You keep following the indoctrination of the tool man... and he'll keep taking a percentage of your pay. Consumer whore, indeed.
@queenofyeay This is the statement of a tired old man who can not come into the times. Its a shame you may have a little to teach the new generation but its so tainted by your attitude that we will never get anything. Now go back to painting your house with your lead paint and burning coal to heat it and let the people who know what there doing handle this...Yesh
@DieselCrawler86 "...people who know what there doing." ...there doing? Really?. Are you supposed to be an example of this supremely knowledgeable group? If so, then you've simply highlighted the small mindedness, lack of imagination and lack of intelligence of an entire generation. You want to believe having a "brand name" tool box makes you superior. The fact is, doing the job right, the first time, consistently, makes you a superior tech. not what brand of tool box or tools you own.
@queenofyeay So wrong again, You may be able to pull off something like real work with your HF box but it will never be as good as some one with Snap On tools sorry to tell you. Now calm down old timer we don't want to to have a heart attack and spend more of our tax dollars to keep you alive. my guess is we have been paying for your job for 30 years or so already.
@queenofyeay When I walk into a dealer ship now and see a no name brand box like this or a HF or craftsmen or something, To me it shows you are simple there to get a pay check and leave and have no care about what people think of your work and no care about your trade.
@DieselCrawler86 Walk into a dealership, chances are they aren't going to let you SEE the guy that's working on your car, in MOST dealers I know of anyway. The funny thing is, I have known several hack and thrash mechanics over the years with the BIGGEST damn Snap-on boxes, yet don't put the same care into the work they churn out. Personally, I would rather have a Tech. that does the job right and treats my vehicle right, than the guy with the biggest Snap-on toolbox in the world.
wtf! i dont even has 2 snap tangs you have like 20 of em 1 size
