Don't buy this game, there seems no change in the graphics or gameplay since the 2006 game, there are big flaws from what I have played in the demo, and the players look more like generic orcs than people. Challenge rugby looks a lot more impressive/realistic and is supposed to have a wider range of modes. Rugby challenge all the way!

Am suspicious about that review, particularly re the 100 times faster comment. rugby 08 was a joke, it was like having a team of cheetahs, and if this is faster, its gonna be impossible to defend in the game.

Editing features, i think what the people want is proper editing features which includes create a player. Just being able to change player's stats isnt enough.

Also, i dont think being able to set the locations and weather is a 'great feature'. it would be shocking if that DIDNT exist.

Great to see the rugby world cup game will be an awsome game to play, The rugby challenge game is coming out soon. I think its tomorrow?? In it is the ITM Cup, Super XV, and the aviva championship and the european cup and much more. Should be good. Cant wait for the world cup game though. Thats the one I am waiting for. Cheers.

Rugby Challenge is going to alot better and more detailed than the rugby world cup game, but mainly for the players in New Zealand who will finally be able to play the air new zealand cup! Its also including the Aussie national championship and Super 15 plus international rugby and european teams, its got it all! Multi year franchise mode plus all the other competitions beats playing the world cup over and over again.

Just worried that if the gameplay has become 100 times faster,whether that will mean they have neglected the more subtle aspects of forward play and the joys of pick and drive. I sincerely hope Iain Felmore is referring to quick ball off the front foot. I wish both Rugby Challenge and Rugby World Cup the best of luck and hope that both have deep and multi-dimensional gameplay.
