Ambulances are not for how bad something hurts. They are for emergencies and honey, an ingrown toenail is anything BUT an emergency. An ingrown toenail is not an immediate threat to the sustainability of your life. But hey, if you wanna pay the $750 minimum for the ambucab ride to the ER, be my guest. Just don't get pissed off when they take you off the stretcher and put you straight in the waiting room to go through triage.

I had this procedure done to my toe recently. The doctor freezes your toe, then numbs it up with his needle, dont worry the freezing effect make the injection feel like nothing. That's basically the wurst part about. After that u don't feel any pain.

That ingrown toe isn't bad at all.

I ended up letting mine go for weeks thinking i can fix it myself. The shots i barely felt, only felt like a warming sensation, couple shots. Lift the whole nail up and cut the side, do something.. idk.. so that part of the nail doesn't grow back.

I'm glad i got it done, didn't hurt at all. The pain of the ingrown toe nail was by far more painful then the shots or cutting the doctor made.

I have gotten this surgery before, and yes, the shot does hurt, but it isn't unbearable. My podiatrist put about 4 shots of the anaesthetic in. But in any case, it won't hurt after the shots.
