If you look at the decisions his made throughout his career it's pretty obvious music comes first. For that reason in particular, I truly envy him. I always thought lead singing had more to do with sounding distinct and having personality than it did note range; though the best singers had/have it all.

Only thing that bugs me about Paul's vocal tracks is the corny songwriting. Despite it, every CD ends up with more than a couple really good songs.
