Stories can be good but I play a game for fun - all the stories and stuff just is a crappy excuse to cut down the gameplay time. In some cases it can be fine such as in Final Fantasy but gameplay is more important that story. And then once again - when has there ever been a story in war games? Gears is a war-based futuristic game - war doesn't have a story - your fighting for the world - thats the story
