Cute marmots waking up from Hybernation - BBC Animals

So cute! I love these dear little things! I've seen them 2 or 3 times around my town (not Vancouver Island ones since I live in Eastern Washington but marmots nonetheless LOL) and it's always adorable. I hope I see some again this next spring. :)

Here you see a cute marmot during hybernation... chances are it will probably die. Now his heart starts to beat faster... if not it dies. His blood gets warmer... or otherwise it dies. When it wakes up, it slowly regains his gut alignment within a week... during that week it will probably die. Then they go out and seek food.
