what would i have to do to make my 6.0 "bulletproof." I was just thinking egr delete n some arp studs. would that be enough to hold the engine over until like 300,000 miles?
Mine has the egr deleted and arp studs. I think thats the first things to address on it. I feel that these are very stout engines and can easily reach 300k if taken care of properly.
hey i was reading ur deal i just got a 6.0 and did the egr delete what r arp studs? i want to make mine last a long time to so anything helps , thanks
@znofxz u need to stop fuckin around and buy a 7.3 mines got 389,576 miles on it and still runs like a top...ive even got it turned up like crazy about 700 hp crazy
so what chip you have yours, i have a hypertech on mine so i dont blow the head gasket but in two months im geting a SCT Livewire X3 tunner fron innovative diesel , H-11 head studs with fireringed heads, 225cc injectors and a 66mm silver bullet turbo from industrial injection, should be making around 525hp and 1000lbs ft torque
@DieselPower2790 it sounds like you're building a pretty potent truck! Mine is just ARP studs and an SCT X2 tuned by eric at innovative, in this video it was tuned with just the X2 from spartan though.
naw im 15 but my dad has had both the 7.3 and the 6.0 and the 7.3 was alot better. its just that ford put aluminum heads and alot lighter parts instead of heavy duty parts that should be on a truck.
Ford didn't build the 6.0, International did. The heads, turbo and EGR system are the main downfall and they were to meet emissions, they would've had to do the same thing to make a 7.3 work and it would've had the same problems.
ur full of shit only thing u can do to a 7.3 is watch it as it fades away in front of you. u cldnt touch my 7.3 if u had a rocket ship under that piece of shit they call a 6.0 my 7.3 puts out 750 hp to the rear wheels
you know what... 7.3s are good reliable motors. but theyre just not as fast as 6.0s. why else do you think the 6.0 came out after the 7.3... cuz its a better motor...
Wow! I thought it was an auto transport semi-truck with those large chrome pipes but then I realized it was only your average pick-up truck! I'm such a noob!!
REAL truck isnt there. I dont see people putting powerstrokes or duramaxes into Dodges......only Cummins. and everyone else wants a cummins in theirs...
thats because no one wants to drive a dodge. the only good thing about a dodge is the only thing they dont make: the cummins motor. dodge trucks blow otherwise. you basically just shit on yourself.
ok i got a 2005 f350 i did silverline stacks straight pipe and kept the cat on you havnt had any problems with you truck and also i have a warranty the chip you have does it leave a footprint in the computer so they can track it
When I blew the head gaskets in my truck and turned it in under warranty they just told me to turn it back to stock and disconnect the batteries for awhile and then just drive it around for a few days to reprogram it so there was no foot print in the computer. However the top of the pistons will be scarred from the excess fuel being thrown to them so they might still deny a warranty claim, I just know my dealer really well.
I bought mine from a local guy who bought it and never put them on. I know the price has went up but he said he had around $600 in it, its a universal kit from Grand Rock. I deal a lot with Innovative Diesel now and they could hook you up with an entire kit that would include downpipe and everything.
thats weak

ARP studs are headstuds to replace the head bolts that commonly fail on these motors.

@albro143 the 6.0 doesnt have aluminum heads
greatone1982 1 year ago
@greatone1982 they never pu aluminum head on a powerstroke untill they came out with the 6.7 powerstroke witch ford is fuckin retarded for doing that
