MayB our little Pinnoccio 0bomba could become a real boy someday, instead of a wooden corporate puppet, but 4 now, I can C his nose growing. MayB with it, he could instead become a real black man... Someday*
alyona is such a classy girl. not only that but she's super hot. i didn't like lauren at first too, but slowly she's gained my respect. she's also super hot. can't forget churchill either. another super hot girl. gotta love RT! :) they are not only smart people with great insight, but they know some hot hotties <3
AJ's bit on RT brought up several good questions about how RT presents stories & commentary it chooses to air. For example, there was little coverage of Russian elections in December 2011 or the protests that followed. You ignored it. At the same time you voiced support for OWS & criticized the role of private interests in US politics. These are important issues but do they really deserve to consume so much RT airtime at the expense of social & democratic upheaval happening in Russia today?
It's sad that the anti-Soviet Union propaganda from the 1950's and 1960's is still at work.
The tradition of Russia-hating must have been passed down by a generation, in the home and the church, since it hasn't been a public policy problem for years. But so many people have a blind, unreasoning, personal dislike of all things Russian, and it is not from any experience, just from being taught since they were babies to hate.
Will watching RT make me want to buy more Russian Vodka and dance Kamarinskaya? Because I don't drink and suck at dancing, so it may not be that good for me. =/
"America democratic and fair" LOL people say that americans don't know shit about other countries, but apparently other countries don't know shit about america either.
I'm an old fart at 40 and I'll be watching. I'm not clear on this Russian connection. I'm watching this on Youtube and the reporter is american. Is this funded by a russian company? And if so, what has that got to do with anything re using it as a negative in headlines. I'd be far more worried about pretty much any big mainstream news org giving me news, as at least there we have a provable track record to show why you should avoid it.
@DoBrigh Not sure why this was removed, I read it in my inbox and went off to do some research on RT. While there is criticism in the press for the network, there is also praise. I haven't seen anything yet I thought was propaganda but I'm watching with care and will dump the channel if I see any shenanigans. So far I've been impressed.
@completesculpture i removed my own comment. If you are looking for a pure, pristine perfectly free-of-influence journalism outlet, then you will be looking forever.
Regarding Assange, its your place as a journalist to discover the truth, which might then impose opinions on you. You have been noticeably silent on the facts of the rape allegation. I'm pretty sure if somebody did a proper investigation it would turn out Assange had been set up. The lifestyle of his accusers before & after the rape allegations would give a hint as to whether they'd been paid to portray themselves as victims of Assange. Probably they have associates connected to powerful people
@danielvincentkelley You nailed it without realising it. The rape accusation. That's all it is. There have been no charges, no convinction, so all you really have right now is he said, she said and that's been reported well enough. We know the "she" in this have political connections that raise suspicion on the allegation and we also know the "he" in this is a guy you might have issues with re what he's provably been doing. Neither party should be seen in a bad light yet.
RT, TYT (Current TV), Al Jazeera--- these are the "good guys" who serve us with great commentary and real "news". MSNBC is falling behind, but they are still better than CNN for commentary. CNN is better on just news. Murdock's FOX?-- Silly and ridiculous.
@SuperGodless666 I agree with you on Al Jazeera to a point. It has its own blind spots it avoids reporting on but then you have to look at its owner to find out why. Fascinating story actually looking into Al Jazeera. Antother great free channel is democracynow which might not have the budget of a billionaire behind it but it's real truly unbiased news from real journalists. How sad it is that its so rare to find that. I'm new to the Alyona show but its looking good so far!
Obama is such a tool of corporate america..what a tragic situation to have to pick from Obama and the nutty republicans..a nation can not survive this crap.. the country is bought and paid for by the elite like during the end of the fall of the Roman Empire
@xadam2dudex PS how can Chris matthews be so stupid on this subject.. this is not news.. it has been going on for decades.. there is proof of it all over the place.. but it is not illegal they just don't want the public to know their only concern is getting rich in office instead of working for the interest of the people
@xadam2dudex Did you know that we outnumber the "elite" or the 1% by 1000000:1. There is hope yet that the occupy movement, real journalism and political activism will bring about real change over time. Just remember that all through history, the elite have fallen, just like the Roman Empire.
@completesculpture things are different now.. it doesn't matter if the 99% out number the 1%.they still own everything and control everything..they also manipulate the media ..as point in case look at the tea baggers.. a group of brainwashed puppets of the elite..it is so classic how they were emotionally manipulated to believe lies even when faced with facts...they can get people to willingly go to war, deny themselves healthcare, education funds etc the 99% will do it 4 them
@xadam2dudex The problem with what you're saying is that you yourself are not buying it, you're actively talking with someone else who isn't buying it and everywhere you look, there is a growing movement of people who aren't buying it. Noam Chomsky made a film years ago called manufacturing consent that you can watch on youtube that explained how the media is effectively covering up the truth. Well today that cover is becoming more transparent to the masses, to the 99%.
@completesculpture what makes u say that ?? only a small portion of the 99% know what is really going on.. the vast majority of people are either brainwashed or just don't want to be bothered by it all.. they just want to be like the people in the pods in the matrix living an illusion
@xadam2dudex What makes me say it is that thousands of people have taken to the streets, the whole occupy movement. The internet is now consumed more than TV for young people. Online free speech is everywhere. There are entire networks based on it like Al Jazeera & DemocracyNow, international newspapers that openly discuss it like Der Spiegel. The masses that are ignorant are turning, very slowly into a minority. Have a little more faith in peoples desire for change for the better
@completesculpture u forget the deciding factor.. the elite still control everything.. what happened to OWS ? the MSM went after OWS like they were public enemy #1..the police were used like a personal goon squad by the elite...where is OWS now ?? even the non-MSM doesn't cover them...the tea baggers are still around because they were a puppet of the elite who they put into office and now are used to manipulate the nation's future...
hmmmm we have bilions of dollars and we dont spend a whole lot of it because its a lot of money, yet there is inequality, hmmmm what should we do with them …?
hmmm billions without any use, inequality, what should we do…?
no, we see no solution lets keep on wiping our buts with this 500 dolar bills.
@heavytransit just look what a state like Qatar can do when the money is pumped back to the people rather than the elite. Free health care, free public transport, free eduction including higher education, NO TAX at all. your wage is yours. And the most beautiful environment that you could wish for. We've been sold the biggest lie when the worlds richest nation has no free health care, tax up the backside, awful environment & put students in debt before they even start out in life.
@completesculpture Qatar is about as wonderful as the old South. yes its all clean and pretty, but there is a massive systemic abuse of civil and human rights propping up a lot of it. (the flashier, the worse the abuse)
@DoBrigh Really? This is the same place that pays for the only free speech allowed tv network in the entire arab world. I don't deny bad things happen there, this is true everywhere you go but that doesn't discount that in Qatar, the idea of how the people have to pay for everything and still get a bad way of life is turned on its head. The wealth goes back to all the people, not just a tiny percentage of the people. Now observe how the mainstream media report this as something terrible
@xThAtLoCoKiD Thank you, you've been a great audience. I just want to thank all my fans. I wouldn't be here today without your support, you know who you are.
