@HirokaTamashii you see, the thing that makes the printer not print anymore is the paper (ususally). Nintendo's official paper was made around 10 years ago, you need to make new paper by cutting fax paper to the right size.
@TheMatBK I have a box of unopened paper, would that work better? It's probably not any younger but it's never been exposed to light as far as I know.

I'm not an expert, but I got the equivalent of 150 meters of fax paper (when it is cut to gameboy printer size) for only $10 at officeworks and it works fine, although it is a bit difficult to actually get in.
@ThatsEvenMoreCrap Nah, the old technology is like: 10 seconds of printing, 5 seconds of sending information. 10 seconds of printing, 5 seconds of sending, etc. I had to cut it out, and that particular transition looks exactly like the printing - all dotty and grainy. it ironically works perfectly.
