for the first pile, theres a 3spades on the other side, he double flips, puts the 6 down, double flips the 3spades(to show the back of the king) then places the other cards down. Same for the second only he reveals the second card right away. For the third, he puts it second from the bottom, i dont know why, he couldve put it right on the bottom, and shows them. Then he reveals the other aces under the Ace Spades.

heres how ya do it (using the first pile as example)

1. the ace is doublesided

2. the first flip is a double flip,and he is laying down the 6 of spades (which is the second card in the pile)

3. the "3 of spades" you see, is the flip side of the ace.

4. do another double flip to hide that it is a double sided card

5. flip the rest of the cards over

6. show the 6 of spades to the audience

not too hard at all. its actually VERY obvious by the way he flips the card that is right under the top one. Follow these instructions and u will see.

At 0:38 he shows his hand. from top to bottom there is the ace, spades, hearts and another heart. now notice when he flips the card you would expect to see the spades when he flips it at 0:40 but you see the third card (hearts) so basically he took the top two cards and flipped them keeping the ace from the top and he grabs the spades. Done.

Amazingly simple.

First he meticulously lays down the Ace of Spades to start the trick - the other 3 Aces are already beneath and he's laying down a 4-stack of them.

The other "Aces" are double-sided cards. When he picks up each of the stacks of four and "flips" the Ace around he's really showing you a double-flip, pulling two cards instead of one, so the real card covers the back of the "Ace".
