I been a Locksmith for over 25 years and love watching these type of Vids , way too many 3 day course , driller killer "Lockmsiths" out there that are ruining the trade. To all potential Locksmiths out there , learn the trade , no better feeling than opening one of these locks , they are hard to beat and it takes time , practice and skill. Good picking mate and sorry for my rant.
nice picking, if you came across any electronic dead locked lock of this type is there an external way to isolate the power, givin that i assume with power running through that lock you demonstrated it wouldnt be pickable or would the elctrics be connected to a rfid reader of somekind for employee type entry without a key and the key being for master use only, hope i explained what i was after there properly
This lock was incorporated into an alarm system where the authorised key holder would open the lock with the key which would then trigger the alarm system with enough delay to enable the user to deactivate the alarm from the control panel.
The system I think you are referring to is where the lock would be released from the keep from an internal switch operated by a warden / tenant these are common in sheltered housing, hostels etc of course a key holder can open the door.
Thanks for your comment but not entirely true the 3G 114 has the anti picks below the gate so on a very low lift lever you could be fooled into thinking you are in a true gate and can be very frustrating when picking so the only option is to note the lift and drop the lot and start again.
On locks with the anti picks above the gate you can use them to defeat the lock as they act as a resting point I will demonstrate this in a video when I get the time.

picking in the garden, cool! i like you pick there, so it lifts the levers to its lowest cut?

These things can be a pain because they have an anti pick stump...you latch a lever into it and you have to reset and try again.
