That's a first. Idle up pitch curve good, but idle up throttle curve not!! Still 50% better than me on my first invert attempt. I forgot to flip the switch. An expert pilot once told me to just have tx permanently set on idle up and just use throttle hold, but be careful starting and use softstart on esc. That's what I do, and I haven't had any problems after 2000+ inverted flights. That's a beautiful logo, but why does everyone like black? It's invisible at ground level.

Why the hell do you need to set up idle 1 with no negative pitch, when you flying

3D ? Just use the throttle cut.

Guess thats a lesson to switch to idle up before attempting any 3d inverted tricks. No negative pitch, what a shame. :(

@TAKTEZ he had negative pitch, just no power to the rotors. You could see the way the heli tries to hang in the air...briefly ! :) Depending upon how you have the idle up function set you can have full +ve and -ve collective, but zero throttle when you go to full down stick.

By the way, I made this mistake(forgot idle up) on my first invert attempt on my trex500. Now I fly with all flight modes(normal, idle 1, idle 2) on idle up. Dangerous, but with soft start, stick in middle and throttle hold it works. I never wonder if I am on idle up again.

Doesn't anyone do a warm up flight? I've seen so many good pilots(mostly nitro) crash because they go right into hard 3d. This guy looked like he wanted to do a low "weed wacker" invert, so he didn't think to do a flip back to non-invert. I personally do 3 warm up flights(1st non-inverted, 2nd & 3rd inverted) before going into my 3D flips exercises. Stay Safe Keep Simmin.

@sputnikwood Idle up allows you to fly upside down. Cool, huh? However, you gotta be in idle up mode. As I commented, my helicopter is "permanently set" on idle up. You can easily take off and land, but you have to take some precautions.

@GJCrawler - that's a medium-sized 500 heli...they get about 1.5 times bigger in the 600's and 700's.
