  • 4 people cut themselves with a balisong

  • ... Gentlemen

  • your not the best on youtube but pretty close nice job man

  • Damn!

  • There's waaaay more tropers here than I would've expected.

  • benchmade 42?

  • And then after the video, his arm falls off.

  • So, that's what Hazama swings around. Badass!

  • so beast!!! i wish i could flip at this caliber

  • the first thing that comes to mind- is that even a real blade?

  • Dude, good taste in music, and you are a serious flippin badass.

  • Was that actually an upside-down backward Y2k rollover at 0:09? If so, I think you might be Him. (bob? xD) but seriously. that's amazing.

  • @Masononi yup :)

  • @incubis it's a website that acts as a database for common conventions in storytelling, I think your video is linked on the "awesome yet impractical" page

  • @Kytseo Do you have the link to where my video is?

  • @incubis sending it

  • I vill cut you like a cornish game hen!

  • Congrats dude. You're on TVTropes!

  • @infringementMAN wtf is tvropes ...link please

  • @incubis -- tvtropes . org / pmwiki / pmwiki. php / AwesomeButImpractical / RealLife (Scroll Down)

  • @sierra087 You heartless bastard, you just linked this poor guy to TV tropes...

  • @incubis tvtropes org/pmwiki/pmwiki php/AwesomeButImpractical/RealLife

  • My lord brother! That was impressive! How long have you been flipping for?

  • All you need to do now is put on a suit, wear a balaclava, light up a cigarette, and start speaking in a French accent! Instant First Prize at any cosplay contest! (Yes, the Spy from Team Fortress 2)

  • dude thats sooooo good is it a trainer or do you just have the gutz :)

  • Gentlemen.

  • good stuff man

  • Very good. Balisong: Most badass knife in history.

  • Very impressive.

Do you tape the blade while practicing, or just invest in a lot of band-aids? :)

  • @Amberscion I never ever tape my blades,Even when I started flipping I never taped my blade, what's the point of taping your blade if your afraid of cuts then you into the wrong hobby!

Take your time learn the movements and where you blade is at all times GO SLOW it took me a year to get some moves down and becareful!

  • DAMN!!!b your aerials still slay me!!!

those pseudo chaplains are gonna shred me.

wish i had your skills bro.

only time and practice is gonna' do it!

all the best, to the best!

  • like this status if u got linked here from tv tropes

    ]

  • DAMN!!!! :0)

  • Amazing flipping Brother, those aerials are perfect.

i'm learning just watching your dexterity!

what do you think of the Bradley Mayhem.

    just picked it up.

and i have a Bradley Kimura III such a difference in weight!

  • @agnus9 Thank you It took me very long to be able to get the fingers rolls down, the ring finger to pinky was so hard for me since I had very little finger strength and dexterity in those fingers.

Unfortunately I have been unable to get my hands on a Bradley Mayhem but it is a very beautiful knife But I am sure there would be some balance issues for flipping from the light handles but nothing that practice will not over come

  • Indiana Jones: Boom!

  • nice

  • So, who got here from tvtropes?

  • @Kytseo That's me.

    GENTLEMAN, anyone??

  • @Kytseo yes, from the "Awesome But Impractical" trope.

  • Are you the Spy?

  • SPAH CUTTIN HIS FINGERS

  • very impressive, i see you used the bite handle a couple of times even. bravo!

  • @nadian13 not to many people catch that.. :)

  • @incubis i had to double check b4 i commented, but ive been watching every available video to further my skills...such a fun thing to do in spare time

  • dude thats so freakin koool .....did u hve to practice

  • According to the Law of "Filming Yourself Doing Stupid Shit" you should have cut your fingers off in seconds

  • What are you, president of his fan club?

  • @POOPTURTLE Nooo... That would be YOUR MOTHER.

  • That must've required a lot of practice and coordination.

  • NOT TO SHABBY.

  • nice flipping sketchy edditing

  • Are these illegal in America?

  • Depends on where you live. Check your local laws if you want to get a real balisong. HOWEVER, if you live in an area that they're illegal in, you can still own a trainer which is a balisong with a blunt blade. You may be able to track down Benchmade's old trainer which is the best, but discontinued. A few other companies make them, but you may have to mod them to make up for minor issues like not having spring latches or a latch stop, etc. Usually a couple O-rings get the job done nicely.

  • that looks like a benchmade 42?

  • it is

  • i want one of thos so bad but where i live they cost alot of money to get

  • u can get a cheapo at knifezilla(dot)com

  • He was a lefty.....

  • im gonna say this is one of those "dont try this at home" moments isnt it?

  • how many fingers did u lose trying to master that?

  • 11 or 12...

  • C'mon, no outtakes?

  • benchmade 42 im guessing?

  • yes Veyrall there is a practice version no sharp edge

  • dude ur bad asss

  • Is there a practice version? I'd like to do this without mincing my arm to a fine paste

  • @Veyrall

You can purchase butterfly knives with weighted plastics in some places.. Because they aren't common and mass produced, they are often more expensive than the real thing... They're great for practice especially for experienced tricks, less likely to gash your palm..

  • @Veyrall there are various trainers (I hear the bear & sons trainer is pretty decent for a cheap one) as well as various novelty ones that aren't sharp (like a usb, a key blank, a pen, a comb, and a bottle opener)

  • @Veyrall yes there is it is aboyy 120 dollars

  • @Veyrall yes there is it is about 120 dollars

  • @Veyrall There are practice knives out there that you can use -- ThinkGeek also sells a pen version if you want to still have something that has utility (Though it's lighter, your balance will be off), and you can always cover the blade with heavy tape to avoid cutting yourself.

  • cool looking way 2 chop off your own fingers

  • I think all the cuts in the video are hospital visits :)

  • you, sir, are full of complete epic win

  • very nice, very nice

  • maybe flea market?

    Im going to teh fleamarket

    only in north carolina hahhaaha

  • Your not good until u got a Benchmade Baby =); Ooohya.. Waitin til i get mine.. nice vid, 5/5

  • 42? Hellz yeh.

  • Btw, anybody know where to get a high-quality Balisong? Ever since the shipment of Balisong knives was banned in the U.S., there's only cheap knock-offs that break.

  • ask the local weapon-mafia...

  • Since when are Balisongs banned in the US? As far as I know they're illegal to CARRY in most states, but I've never heard of them being illegal to own.

  • I said shipment of Balisong knives in the U.S. are banned. I'm not to sure about selling them, but most places don't sell these kinds of knives. In swapmeets, they sell Balisongs with the quality of shit.

  • they're not illegal to ship, most states they are illegal to carry

  • try a local fleamarket, thats were i get mine for a good price and good quality

  • true, i've heard nothing about in fl.

  • try Colorado. there is this shop in the mountains where you can get balsongs of all qualities. Shitty or expensive

  • I'm interested in that place in colorado.

Heartbreak. there are a ton of sites that sell quality balisongs. check out the benchmade balisongs. bradley cutlery has a couple good ones like the kimura. spyderco has some good ones.

  • Much envy right here. Very nice!

  • So did u learn how to do that??? N how much did it cost u plz tell me

  • FLIP Nice! you skate?

I just put in my order for my first balisong:D

ive wanted one for 3 years

  • Benchmade model 42...?

  • very very nice dude now all i need is a balisong knife XD

  • damn!! you are good with that balisong knife.i need more..more and more practice.

nice video man !! good job

  • ha, this was the first song i ever heard by camp kill yourself. wow, brings back good (some bad) memories. but good video man you should join the laddermatch competitions.

  • I love that. I love balisong knives. I can flip, but not that good. Hopefully I can get there. I need some training. :)

  • *as good as u* i messed up

  • Wow, awsome man. I envy you haha someday ill be that good u... Ya right i wish haha Great video man

  • I love these things. they are very light and in my opinion great for throwing. (well maybe that is only because I've become accustomed to them)

  • Whoosh... was that a knive passing the camera?

    Damn, ur quick!

  • Hey cool you played the first song i learned on bass.

  • Song is by Cky sink into the underground

  • nice flipping... has a gracefulness with it... im getting a bm 42 soon

  • thank you incubis.. i learned all your moves and generally how to use a balisong from your videos. now i want buy a benchmade 42 :D

  • dude u put me to shame, so easily haha

  • wow, how many times did you cut yourself before you got that good?

  • I would have cut my hand to pieces, and then some. Awesome skills.

  • Poetry in Motion.

  • you're awesome man. i try to practice but my parents dont know i have a balisong, they found one and threw it out but i still have one more. so i dont get much chance to practice cuz it squeaks a lot. haha

  • try putting a fine oil in the joints. I suggest sewing machine oil for this. the type of oil is good for fine mechenesems like that in a bali.

  • man your fucken raw as fuck lol Oo what song is that????

  • whoa!!

  • Uterlly amazing! Sucks though, because I'm in Canada, where any knife that opens using centrefugal, spring or gravitaional force is illegal. Leaves no room for loop holes, but if you know of one tell me. How long did it take you to learn to do that, and where?

  • You can try getting a trainer. they look stupid but its better than nothing.

  • simply godlike! everything I know other than basics are from your videos, keep it up!

  • damn. you would kick my ass in flipping. i cant get all of the finger rolls and master the helix yet though.

    -mahalo'z cuz

  • good work

  • are jaguar knives any good?

  • Jaguars are 20$ pieces of shit. I would flip with one if someone paid me.

    Worst of the Worst.

  • where can i get a good knife like that?

  • Dude! This is so awsome, some of the best flipping I have seen on one hand! Makes my hand crave my bali!

  • Awesome ! I don't flip as good as you but go see my videos ! I have two balisong ones

  • i think that is a Benchmade correct? even if its not kudos to you man you have a very sought after skill that many are to scared to try.

  • Excellent video, nice job.

  • Those aerials are crazy...Im to pussy to do those

  • Godlike

  • dude...great.just great

  • yea this fucking video rocks finally somebody with a clean tech. and a sharp knife i love it keep up the good work

  • godam thats amazing plus CKY cant get to much better then that

  • I'm sort of a beginner to balisong, everything I know other than basics are from your vids, keep it up!

  • damn bro. that was crazy. i have a double edged knife. i tried a windmill once. sliced my finger and had to go get stitches.. haha i havent tried anything since then.. keep it up.

  • Aha, get a single edged knife, that way you'll be safer, and when you're pro like that, try it with your double-edge knife.

  • i bet ur hands are a pretty sight. i can only imagine the scarring. ooh. u know there is double side ones too lol no that would be cool

  • aha! PWN! good work

  • noice...

    you bastard.

    L

  • very nice work.

  • nice really nice :D amd whats the different between balisong and butterflyknife

  • Balisong is the proper name for the knife.

  • Very cool as I said in the Forum, thx for the turorial, too. The framerate is not the best, in your other Videos it is normal!

  • sorry but it's filmed with a digital camera not the best for this kind of stuff..

  • nice man, i need to step it up. Haven't been practicing lately.

  • I like the combo at 2:00, nice stuff. I also admire how many moves you make holding onto the bite handle... don't see that much.

    Sean

  • Nicely done. We need a blooper video next time :)
