Does anyone know if this game came out for NTSC PS2 (US)?I can only find PAL versions...

no it was only released in PAL reigions but F1 championship edition was released in the US so will F1 2009 fo wii and psp AND F1 2010 which will release in 2010

rosemeyer, yes this game came out for NTSC PS2. Not US though, only in Japan. However, the NTSC-J version runs very well. Message me if you are interested in discussing the NTSC version of F106. The japanese version is definitely worth importing. If you try to run the PAL version on an NTSC PS2, there is some slowdown. The NTSC-J version has no slowdown. It is one of the best games I've ever played.

If you turn on formation lap, you will not be able to save mid-race and continue your race later. (it's a bug) If you do full race distance, I recommend turning formation lap off for this reason.

Yes that's normal, just turn parade lap on. I believe you can do that in the race options menu.
