Huge keelboats surfing down waves is about the most awesome thing I've ever seen. Those boats at at the start are just eye-wateringly fast. Looked like a planing keelboat. :-0

wow the boats at the beginning TP52 they have so much speed and they are so big but they have an asymmetric spinnaker... it#s so cool... i'd like to go on such a boat...

@JonSmokal They have both symmetrical and asymetrical spinnakers. if they only used asymmetrical spinnakers, they wouldnt need a spinnaker pole, they would just use the bow prod. but yes, they are insanley fast!

its a vor boat, so they have lea boards becouse they have a canting keal, there going down wind so there lea boards are up but there just sliding like crazy

there are no Volvo Ocean Race boats in this video. If your referring to the first boat going downwind with the white spin, its a TP52, or TransPac 52 footer

and its difficult to find any good footage of 18's anymore, ive used up pretty much all of wat my mates have! im working on trying to get footage from KA/ASKO 18 ft skiff. u know the one at the beginning of video 2 that hit the point and pitchpoled? yeah one of my best mates has that exact boat now and im tryin to get footage off him. stay tuned!

this video was a hugh success

ok the yatching footage was great i loved it, good combination of fast sailing and broaches lol. the 18s fottage was alright but you could really see much of them. then the 49ers they were awesome, very nice having cameras in the boats and close ups. moths were kool as usual. the VX40s were great very good footage if onlt one had gone over.
