even if u did free em... wouldnt they like not know the danger in the wild??? they'd be scared ... they r safe... and loved... and there r plenty in the wild... anyway... they look happy...
@ChessHottie1 That's what many people tell themselves - that dolphins look happy and therefor must be. But many dolphins are depressed in captivity but people don't notice because of the way they're shaped with smiling faces. Dolphins are also one of the few animals who actually can commit suicide. Flipper from the movies did because she was depressed in her captivity. As for not knowing the danger in the wild, I believe they have instincts of what's dangerous or not.
@sofymo Nope, different dialect, more from a southern region of the Pacific. They are clearly saying, " People who anthorpomorphize us and project their feelings on us are just silly! "
@robologist hey im not for anthorpomorphizing animals in the least i like my animals on my dinner plate, but this just doesnt seem right to anyone i'd think
your lucky you got to touch them my grandma said she didnt want to walk to far so i missed this awesome experience but at least i got to go to california!
I'll let you touch me if u give me the fish.....SIKE! Thanks for the fish stupid.......They are so adorable. It looks it didnt want them touching them but wanted the fish...God Bless them.
I love dolphins, it's a childhood thing for me. I grew up watching a show that starred a dolphin and I've been obsessed with it ever since. It's been 17 years and I have yet to seen an actual dolphin. Let alone touching it. I do hope i get a chance to touch it someday. But yes, sometimes we don't know how the dolphins may feel. It may be smiling in front of the camera. But you never know how it may feel in humans' absence.
This is so sad that all you can think about is your own concept of the well being of another creature. Not that they are cared for, well fed, and safe from predators, much less that they provide an educational experience for people.
they are soo cute i love them. Most of the time they are caught from the wild and suffer deep phsychological problems in captivity, the tanks r too small and they do not get a proper diet. no matter how much you want to swim with them DO NOT it supports cruelty for the dolphins. They are soo beautiful though and highly intelligent xx
@MissAnnoymous In Asia that point would stand. Most European and North American dolphins are captive born. They do not suffer psychological problems or poor diet. Their tanks are restricted if they wish to expand by the very people who want better conditions for them (Local authorities). They are intelligent though.
@MissAnnoymous I just have to say....most captive dolphins are born in captivity....it's a fact at least in the US and most of Europe. Idk about some Asian countries, but yeah.
I agree, plus many people don't realize that they can still interact with and meet dolphins without going to the "swim with dolphins" program. Just go diving!!
Wild dolphins are much more happier and livelier than captive ones.
@P1NKBLUSH if a dolphin is raised in captivity but is given plenty of interaction, it can be happy as well. depends on the locale of course, but i'm saying it's not all black and white when it comes to captivity.

@MissAnnoymous They should be kept in captivity if they needed to be studied then freed to the wild.

The dolphins in SeaWorld San Antonio are born in the park and wouldn't survive if they were set free.
