  • foo fighters <3 ^^

  • I have one like this since ive just started, however I cant find my power cord anymore -_- Its been so long that idk what it even looks like now :( any chance you have pictures of it? lol

  • Hey man I got one of these amps from Asda and it only cost me £5 (special offer I think). Just bought a 2.1 plug and a 9v battery clip and it now works on the battery and will go anywhere.

  • it is a shitty amp, but really i have a boss ds1 distortion pedal and it sounds pretty great with it hooked up with it.

  • @canadianidiot1039 that's basically what im saying in this video in a nut shell.

  • dam your good ....i want to get a electric guitar but i dont have much money do you think a first act for 100 us dollers would be a good starter guitar

  • @heroscaper57 a good starter guitar here in the UK should cost around £250 new. Anything less is really a waste of money in my opinion as it will end up junk. This amp is ok for learning on as long as u get a decent pedal with it.

  • @heroscaper57 if your still looking to get an electric guitar the epiphone sg special is a good one. it only costs 170 at guitar center.

  • @lopdude121 Basically yes, you can have overdrive and distortion. Tube amps have pre-amp gain (distortion) and post amp gain (overdrive) but transistor amps such as this just have distortion as there are no tubes to heat up.

  • yea i jux got this amp and a guitar, the only problem is i cant play rock

  • hes not starting hes teaching lessons

  • 8:15 wayy more accpectible

  • Your metal playing skills are awesome! Just one question, how did you record such clear audio quality? Cause I have the exact same amp

  • @v2freak thanks, i just recorded it straight from my macbook's webcam!

  • thats about as good as any solid state amp sounds with distortion

  • DUDE!!!! I got this same amp and I'm getting that pedal. Skype me some lessons? O.O

  • soo.... u are new playing guitar uh?

  • @shirlay117 No, Im a guitar teacher. I give lessons.

  • @davet247 hehe ok, you play very good ;)

  • ohn yeah master of puppets and seek and destroy, gotta love metallica

  • what song is that at 4:23

  • @paintball0424 Can't Stop by the Red Hot Chili Peppers.

  • Awesome Guitar SHITTY AMP!

  • How often do you see a guy playing an Ibanez Vai Jem $2500 guitar through a First Act amp?

  • yo bro ur just starting to play? by the sounds of it you can play pretty good :)

  • @MrKalabama Thanks, been playing for years, check out my other music vids or the real shizzle :)

  • @davet247 Np, ok thanks ;)

  • @nuclearboy2 It's called having a girl friend, one day you may understand

  • @davet247 its ok i got it.. youre gay with good excuses.

  • @nuclearboy2 lol

  • @davet247 just messing with you Bro! Peace& rock!!.

  • do you know were I could get the cords to connect it to my guitar to?

  • i got my first act ma104 amp for 30$

  • Which one the Love pedal Kanji or the Love pedal Eternity also what would u say ur aspect is of empress vintage delay, or are you not at the level yet...

  • @Morethanl1f3 I use Vox Satch pedals for my main tone now, I regard these as the best I've heard so far. Satchurator and Time Machine, Big Bad Wah and Ice 9 but even if you have a simple DS-1 you can get it to sound good with a bit of practice. Good Luck.

  • I have this kind of amp and can get some interesting sounds by turning the gain all the way up and the volume all the way or nearlt all the way down.

  • i got two guitars and i dont now how to play only the tune of jaws

  • the light is even brighter in the dark

  • I really need your help i just bought a new electric guitar and the same amp you have right their but i don't know anything about setting up a amp i have tried messing around with the knobs but it just has this scratchy sound when i strum all the chords its horrible please help.!!

  • @YounqHEro Set the gain way down, set the tone in the middle then turn it to your taste, keep the volume at a low level at first then bring it up to practice level while keeping the gain very low. This should give you a nice clean sound, then if you want decent gain, use a pedal. Even the Boss DS1 seems to sound much better then the amps gain. Just keep it clean to stop it from fizzing. Hope this helps.

  • @davet247 Thank you so much bro your a BIG help.!!

  • hey can you tell me how long you are play?

  • @mrpoere I have been playing for 15 years

  • I had one of those amps. It came gratis with a 222 model guitar. The amp died after a month.

  • @frankgump iv had mine for about six an it still sounds great

  • I have that exact amp.

  • Hi could you tell me what comes with the amp.

I am just getting started never played the guitar I just got a Starcaster Fender Electric Guitar any advice on the best way to learn to play.

You play great wish I could do that :)

  • @0019378 Hi, nothing came with the amp really, just power lead. I'd say listen and watch your favorite guitar players and mimic the best parts of their style to blend into your own unique style.

  • my guitar came with that amp. you can put batteries in the one i have though

  • i have this amp and my dad bought it for me i just wanted any amp then ill get a better one

and this really does sound cool for like 30 dollars

  • yeah! master of puppets! haha

  • I just got a fender guitar and i had that sitting at home. im not sure if i need new batterys or something but it buzzes like crazy! i cant play a riff without it stopping. is it my guitar?

  • lol at 8:38, you can play MetallicA through this thing!

  • hey whats the song at 4:23??

  • 'Can't Stop' by the Red Hot Chili Peppers

  • ahh thanks!

  • hey what song did he play at 4:23 ??!!!

  • lol i actually brought my epiphone les paul classic over to my friends house and played it on his first act amp(bought at walmart) and it really didnt cound too bad

  • 6:53 Sleep now in the fire :)

I have this amp, played fight fire with fire by metallica. Sounded just like studio, except with more gain. crazy madness fuzz though.

  • I got this for Xmas and I don't have a cord to connect it to T~T

Amp sounds REALLY cool (To me at least cuz I always had this shit amp which blew while back...) but I need a connester cord for it...

  • dang! I love this amp! For 30 dollars, I think I'll grab one. Just sounds fun. I actually really dig that fuzzy overdrive.

  • I love the fuzzy Overdrive too

I got my cord for it New Years Eve and I LOVE it

  • i have a jhonson same size but runs on 9v batteries sounds great

  • i have this amp and its the best amp 4 practice

  • EROTIC NIGHTMARES!!!!!!! <3 love that riff

  • you know when you're a great player when you can play out of the shittiest equipment!

  • i got to playing around with mine and hooked it up to a webber sig 10 and wow the diffence it makes. the speaker is what is farting out so early if you have a cab try hooking it to this little amp.

  • i just got this amp and well im very disapointed. the only thing i like about it is the size and i will say the tone knob is nice.

  • i have this amp, and this amp is all you need if you just started playing guitar like me

  • you gotta love Walmart!

  • Anyone out there looking to buy one of these piece of craps dont do it. seriously. Spend the extra money and get good stuff. Even if your a beginner . i started playing a month ago and I bought the first act guitar and amp. They are terrible. I took it back and went and bought a peavey predator, and i had an older gorilla amp. Wayy!!! much better. You just cant learn on a peice of crap. In my opinion.

  • It's never the amps fault, it's always the player!

  • good one.

    my amp REALLY sucks....

  • Lol, can't stop, by RHCP eh? Great song =)

  • its teen spirit by nirvanna

  • sorry mate was listing to the radio as i was getting out the tub and the song came on by rhcp cant stop and i was wrong my apologies mate

  • It's all good, no harm done right? ; )

  • whats up with the hellow kiddy shit LMFAO!!!! But nice sound & your hella good at guitar bro :)

  • if you dont have much money why do u have a pricey ibanez and a shitty little amp from asda

  • I bought my pro guitars a good few years back when I was living with parents and had the cash. Also like I say in the video, I have some amazing kick ass amps but didn't want to spend a lot on an extra student amp. If you want proof of my pro amps then just take a look through my vids. I think this amp sounds not so 'shitty' for £19.99!

  • does it fucking matter?

great for someone's Gibson ES - 335 or my Little Squier Tele.

  • Exactly, I made this video to show how to get a good sound out of the cheapest equipment. I'd have saved a lot of money for better results if I'd got one of these and a DS-1 for my first amp instead of being ripped off all those years back.

  • this amp isnt even really for beginners, my first amp was a marshall jcm800 full stack

  • My second amp was a Marshall stack but that was still overkill. £20 vs £800+.... Like I said, good for beginners.

  • i got the same amp right now. im nervous and exited of how my amp will souund with the death metal pedal. i hope it will sound good.anybody already has one for the first act amp, send me a message!

  • To be honest it's all about the speakers, this amp has the cheapest components so you've really got to think of how much you can get away with. This plus a pedal is usually the cheapest way to have a practice amp but to get a proper good sound think of getting something like a vox VT (see my Vox review) or solid state combo.

  • when i play a chord on this amp it sounds all fuzzy but it might be my giutar (first act me 636) if know could help :)

  • Turn the gain pretty much all the way down to get a very clean sound, that will help the fuzz but as the speaker is so small it will still rattle some as the volume increases. Use a stomp box like a DS-1 for gain and you can achieve a more expensive sound. I was surprised how well this works.

  • oh right ill try thanks :D

  • haha "never look at the light people" hahaha lmao

  • i have that exact amp haha its tiny

  • Guitar into input of DS1 pedal then out to input of amp.

    Guitar>Pedal>Amp

  • i have the 50$ version of this amp and it comes with Bass/Mid/Treble

settings and an overdrive button which isnt that bad to be honest

and im getting the Boss Metal Zone mt-2 to go with mine so its going to be pretty good for the combination

and a little side note( THIS AMP GETS FREAKIN LOUD!!!) AND IT DOESNT BUZZ ASS IT GETS LOUDER LIKE THE SMALLER ONE IT SOUND SNICE AND CLEAN.........EVEN WHILE SHATERING MY WINDOWS

U CANT BEAT A TOTAL OF ABOUT $130

  • I MEAN "AS"

    NOT "ASS"

  • i have the same amp, and yes for its price its a very good amp

  • not bad for only 20 dave pounds

  • It's actually a conspiracy by ASDA to take over the US government and give people more spending power... thus making wallmart the biggest superpower on the planet.. Why do you think they call it a 'super' market... clues! :-D

  • Haha, should have known.

  • Hmmm... for a small, cheap amp. I'm impressed by how well it seems to hold it's own. Sometimes when you ghet something like that for cheap, it becomes a let down.

    Cool vid !

  • That was awesome for £20, i have heard alot more expensive amps that sound worse nice one

  • not bad for its price

  • Sweeeet.

  • They don't have any music equipment at the Wal-Mart here, not even cheapo starter stuff :o

Clean is much better than my ibanez practice amp, which was a good bit more expensive, ha! Definitely not as good with the dirtaydirtay but for the price it's overall pretty cool, especially since you can just pedal up the clean channel

Are you downpicking when you play MOP? Can't see your right hand, dirty bastard!

  • lol, I alt pick but not in an even way, down picking gives it more attack in places and sounds more dangerous!

  • I've always just downpicked

  • oh and now theres not only my little pony theres hello kitty too. awesome man

  • Heh, so was that Chickenfoot I heard, Mr. Don't really care?

  • thats great value, i mean for a first amp you cant go wrong with that!

  • Cheap as chips!
