I have one like this since ive just started, however I cant find my power cord anymore -_- Its been so long that idk what it even looks like now :( any chance you have pictures of it? lol
Hey man I got one of these amps from Asda and it only cost me £5 (special offer I think). Just bought a 2.1 plug and a 9v battery clip and it now works on the battery and will go anywhere.
dam your good ....i want to get a electric guitar but i dont have much money do you think a first act for 100 us dollers would be a good starter guitar
@heroscaper57 a good starter guitar here in the UK should cost around £250 new. Anything less is really a waste of money in my opinion as it will end up junk. This amp is ok for learning on as long as u get a decent pedal with it.
@lopdude121 Basically yes, you can have overdrive and distortion. Tube amps have pre-amp gain (distortion) and post amp gain (overdrive) but transistor amps such as this just have distortion as there are no tubes to heat up.
Which one the Love pedal Kanji or the Love pedal Eternity also what would u say ur aspect is of empress vintage delay, or are you not at the level yet...
@Morethanl1f3 I use Vox Satch pedals for my main tone now, I regard these as the best I've heard so far. Satchurator and Time Machine, Big Bad Wah and Ice 9 but even if you have a simple DS-1 you can get it to sound good with a bit of practice. Good Luck.
I really need your help i just bought a new electric guitar and the same amp you have right their but i don't know anything about setting up a amp i have tried messing around with the knobs but it just has this scratchy sound when i strum all the chords its horrible please help.!!
@YounqHEro Set the gain way down, set the tone in the middle then turn it to your taste, keep the volume at a low level at first then bring it up to practice level while keeping the gain very low. This should give you a nice clean sound, then if you want decent gain, use a pedal. Even the Boss DS1 seems to sound much better then the amps gain. Just keep it clean to stop it from fizzing. Hope this helps.
@0019378 Hi, nothing came with the amp really, just power lead. I'd say listen and watch your favorite guitar players and mimic the best parts of their style to blend into your own unique style.
I just got a fender guitar and i had that sitting at home. im not sure if i need new batterys or something but it buzzes like crazy! i cant play a riff without it stopping. is it my guitar?
lol i actually brought my epiphone les paul classic over to my friends house and played it on his first act amp(bought at walmart) and it really didnt cound too bad
i got to playing around with mine and hooked it up to a webber sig 10 and wow the diffence it makes. the speaker is what is farting out so early if you have a cab try hooking it to this little amp.
Anyone out there looking to buy one of these piece of craps dont do it. seriously. Spend the extra money and get good stuff. Even if your a beginner . i started playing a month ago and I bought the first act guitar and amp. They are terrible. I took it back and went and bought a peavey predator, and i had an older gorilla amp. Wayy!!! much better. You just cant learn on a peice of crap. In my opinion.
I bought my pro guitars a good few years back when I was living with parents and had the cash. Also like I say in the video, I have some amazing kick ass amps but didn't want to spend a lot on an extra student amp. If you want proof of my pro amps then just take a look through my vids. I think this amp sounds not so 'shitty' for £19.99!
Exactly, I made this video to show how to get a good sound out of the cheapest equipment. I'd have saved a lot of money for better results if I'd got one of these and a DS-1 for my first amp instead of being ripped off all those years back.
i got the same amp right now. im nervous and exited of how my amp will souund with the death metal pedal. i hope it will sound good.anybody already has one for the first act amp, send me a message!
To be honest it's all about the speakers, this amp has the cheapest components so you've really got to think of how much you can get away with. This plus a pedal is usually the cheapest way to have a practice amp but to get a proper good sound think of getting something like a vox VT (see my Vox review) or solid state combo.
Turn the gain pretty much all the way down to get a very clean sound, that will help the fuzz but as the speaker is so small it will still rattle some as the volume increases. Use a stomp box like a DS-1 for gain and you can achieve a more expensive sound. I was surprised how well this works.
i have the 50$ version of this amp and it comes with Bass/Mid/Treble
settings and an overdrive button which isnt that bad to be honest
and im getting the Boss Metal Zone mt-2 to go with mine so its going to be pretty good for the combination
and a little side note( THIS AMP GETS FREAKIN LOUD!!!) AND IT DOESNT BUZZ ASS IT GETS LOUDER LIKE THE SMALLER ONE IT SOUND SNICE AND CLEAN.........EVEN WHILE SHATERING MY WINDOWS
It's actually a conspiracy by ASDA to take over the US government and give people more spending power... thus making wallmart the biggest superpower on the planet.. Why do you think they call it a 'super' market... clues! :-D
Hmmm... for a small, cheap amp. I'm impressed by how well it seems to hold it's own. Sometimes when you ghet something like that for cheap, it becomes a let down.
They don't have any music equipment at the Wal-Mart here, not even cheapo starter stuff :o
Clean is much better than my ibanez practice amp, which was a good bit more expensive, ha! Definitely not as good with the dirtaydirtay but for the price it's overall pretty cool, especially since you can just pedal up the clean channel
Are you downpicking when you play MOP? Can't see your right hand, dirty bastard!
