Do you know where to get the music sheets for every intsrument used in the original song? I'm trying to cover it. It would be so much help if you could tell me! All i can find is music sheets for piano. :(
Have any of you ever heard the music from Inuyasha? there are some very powerful pieces in that t.v. series......very emotional....i want to hear you play something from Inuyasha, Juggernoud.
LOVED your piece!!! Yes, I watched the movie and I loved it, despite some flaws like less action than I would like, and short running time. To be honest, I have more problems with the critics than I have with the movie. If you ever plan on watching it (borrow it from the library or something), just know "Flow Like Water" is used for the climax: Aang had let go of his guilt for the loss of his people, to unblock his Water Chakra ("Power of Water" in the movie), so he can create the tidal wave.
Incredible, amazing and moving score! The first time I saw the movie, I disliked it. Now, watching again, I could see how beautiful and enchanting it is. A misunderstood movie, for sure.
The thing i love about James Newton Howard is that he has made a soundtrack to almost every movie of M Night Shyamalan, 1 of my fave film directors. This soundtrack is beautiful as with all of JNH's pieces, but couldn't say the same thing about the movie. IMO don't think "Avatar- the last airbender" is movie material for M. Night, he is better to create his own things instead of "interpreting". It is a good movie for kids though :)
Really beautiful Noud, i felt this piece, many emotions in it! :)
@UniqueGeekFreak Hehe, thanks my friend for your broad message once again! I appreciate it. It seems you have a lot of passion for films and for film music. I am glad you felt the emotion!
@juggernoud1 hehe :D as always i am happy my words can be of comfort to anyone :)
Oh yes i could certainly feel the emotions i could almost embrace them! Sometimes i feel like that woman who plays cello in "Heroes" lol,she was deaf but her powers were to see the tunes in beautiful colours.
hehe yes you're quite right i do have very much passion for both, but it goes in periods, right now i am in a book period where i delve into the world of books :D
@UniqueGeekFreak Hehe, that is great to hear! You are really have broad interests! That is a good thing! You seem to be a very interesting person! Thanks for commenting on my video! See you later! And any suggestions are welcome!
@juggernoud1 :)) thank you bro, you are a very kind, positive & thoughtful person, very honest too of what i have seen, the choice of music tells a lot about what kind of person you seem to be, but now is not the time to analyze lol. Just wanted to thank again for taking your time to reply & i'm always happy to have our discussions about ST's hehe. YES as a matter of fact i was wondering what your opinion is of Alan Menken & his music? :D
I know ur friend pianomusclovr has a lot of uploads :)
Wooooooow.... You are soooo Awesome... I would like to play this piece as well for a school concert.. Would you mind sending me the music sheet?? If it wasn't because I live in Curacao I would like you to be in my Band..!!
I've been wanting to learn this piece ever since I saw the movie the first time! Even went so far as to attempt it by ear myself...was only able to get most of the main melody, not the chords unfortunately! Your work should help me with that! Thanks a lot! Now to just finish uni so that I can concentrate on it a little :p
i love this movie so much and this song from it was just unreal. . .and the way you play it is so unreal aswell lolol. . hope they make the 2nd book called Earth from it were the blind girl is in it cause i really want some more epic tunes
I watched the movie and I loved it. It is very distant from the toon, but I think that it is amazing (thanks also to the music). I think that the criticism is unfairly cruel, I love the Shyamalan's way, I do not like every film he did, but I say that he did a good film.
If u are if u are afraid u disappoint in comparison to the toon, I suggest u try to look @ it without doing too precise comparisons thinking it is something different, but most of all, without prejudice. oh, can u send me sheet?
hey there! love your covers man! they blow my mind! I LOVE flow like water I think you do an amazing job! I was wondering if you had the whole song shot with the camera angle you used at 2:30 until 3:20, if so could you upload it or email it to me, i would love to be able to play it but i cant see your hands for a lot of the song. If you could that would be much appreciated
@UKpiano Hey Mark! Thanks for your comment!! Your right about the piano sounding differently. I am using MIDI for my newest videos. Before I start recording I am adjusting the equaliser and the reverb level. Just fine tune things i like it the most. I always do that before recording. But I never add effects afterwards. I am too lazy for that. I like to play live :-)
Honestly? I was expecting a load of rubbish from the movie... I was very pleasantly surprised. I thought it was a fantastic film (almost makes me want to forgive him for 'The Happening'. Almost.). The soundtrack is amazing and compliments the film perfectly. Rent it. Great job on your playing man.
@steffworthington Wow! This is one of the most positive comments I got about the movie!! Now I am really going to see it! I am also expecting a load of rubbish so it cannot get any worse ;) Of course the music is great :-) Thanks for the comment!
(cont'd) I know why Shyamalan changed their pronunciations(Asian roots and all of that), but had I been a producer, I would've said, "Well, technically, you might be right, and a connoisseur of Asian culture would probably admire that about THE LAST AIRBENDER, but to me, as an audience member and a fan of the show, it's just an unnecessary change in pronunciation; 3. He took the movie way too seriously. He didn't need to get morbid. It should've been funnier. It needed to be funnier.
@FCWPM that's exactly what I think....he had many good ideas, just didn't knew how to handle them...he should stay with smaller projects, in this movies he'll always be the last filmbender ;-)
@Brabbel93 I think he has the potential to handle bigger films, he just needs another writer or two to help him out. Movie-making, at this scale, is a group effort, and even he knows that. Take THE LORD OF THE RINGS, for example. It didn't have one screenwriter. It had 3: Sir Peter Jackson, Fran Walsh, and Phillipa Boyens. Hell, they even had a fourth screenwriter for THE TWO TOWERS. So, that's all it is. Just more screenwriters who know how to handle this sort of thing.
@FCWPM but be careful, too many screenwriters can mess up a script. There were so many films the last year which had far to many writers working on it...then it's like a Hans Zimmer score...in German we got a saying "Zu viele Köche verderben den Brei" sort of "Too many cooks spoil the stew" I just don't know whether there is something like this in englisch
Very beautiful score. I did see the movie. It's not as bad as people are saying. M. Night Shyamalan had the right idea, he just got off on the wrong foot. To me, there were three things wrong: 1. the movie is too short. It needed to be longer. It should've been 2 and a half hours long, this way Shyamalan would've given the characters and the audience time to breathe and he would've been able to explain everything he need to explain; 2. the pronunciation of the names. It was unnecessary.
@finnkedinn okay, no problem mate. It is just I also need to pay my music teacher and I investigate a lot of time in it. So I think it is not that much. But it is okay. I am glad you like this piano arrangement :-) Cheers
Wonderful! In my opinion "Flow Like Water" is the best piece of music ever written, and your cover is simply amazing! I bow my head.
To the movie: it's okay...I'm a huge Shyamalan AND Airbender Fan and so I was very excited for the film. It has many problems (acting, writing and dialogue being the most important of them) but the action, the sets, the effects and of course the music is beautiful, and Night uses some very interesting styles in the movie, but didn't handle them right.
@Brabbel93 Thanks for your broad comment! I appreciate it! I really should watch the movie then. As I like the pictures I found on the internet (also used in this video). Very nice ice landscape etc. Does Shyamalan has some new projects coming up? I don't hear a lot of him. I really admire his work for Signs and the Village! I think the story of the Happening was great but didn't handle it right I think. But of course I am looking forward to a new movie of him. Which also means a new JNH score!!
this is one of my favourite film's songs.... it has a special meaning for me because i found it just the day that my grandfather died. .. great job juggernound,, this is a little musical treasure
You really should see the movie! If you're not interested then purely see it from the stand point that James Newton Howard's music is in it. It is extremely epic, powerful and gives you insane goosebumps when you hear anything, definitely Flow Like Water in the big battle at the end! It is insane!!!
Best part in original piece that never fails to send chills and make me tingle for some odd reason is right at 2:29 in your master piece of a remastering.

This is absolutely beautiful! You did a remarkable job with this music! It flows so well and doesn't show that it was an on and off project. You can take great pride in your work. Take care, Rob.
Wow, great as ever, Noud! And I love the piano sound. Did you put some extra reverb to it after recording or did you use just the internal reverb? I decided to buy a Kawai with wooden keys soon although I was thinking about a Roland too. Does this Roland have wooden keys and maybe ivory touch keys? It looks like that.
@pianomusiclovr Thanks Stephan! While actually I didn't added extra rever afterwards. But I added extra reverb before I started recording. I am editing the reverb and equaliser each time for a different piece. Some pieces has a LOT of reverb. For instance the Tron piece. So I didn't use an internal reverb. This is done with MIDI. And yes your right this Roland does have an ivory touch keys. Really a great instrument. The keys are one of the biggest advantages of the Roland HP-307. Take care!
YES!! I knew it was this one!!! I love it so much, wow, sounds amazing on the piano...very flowing ;D It looks quite hard also, it happens a lot in this song! Very very good job Noud!
oh and i watched the movie.. it sucked balls.. (the movie itself was pretty bad but they raped everything, and it's not how it should've been) Especially if you've seen the original animated series (that one i would recommend !! still watch it sometimes :) and i'm 21) :P u did a magnicifent job noud.. i was thinking how's he gonna pull the loud part off.. but u did it and u did it perfect lol.
Of welke vind jij echt super?
i used to work at a movie theatre, and i remember listening to the end credits music and being...amazed... james netwon howard is just extraordinary. anyways, great job on this transcription!...brings back the memories
hey , this is perfect . i faved again :)) , i sounds very , very good ! , more fluid . and i like very much the sound . :) . i actually didn't go to watch the movie , i wanted to watch it because of the score . haha
@molossuspiano Thanks for the fave again =D This one is indeed more fluid then my previous upload. I am glad you noticed ;) Haha, and yes I would like to watch it also due the score. I think there will be a lot more music that isn't released on the soundtrack, which is often the case.
Noud... seriously... my favourite cover of yours to date. I love this cue from the soundtrack, and your arrangement really is the dog's bollocks! I'll message you more about this. I had no idea you were working on this one. Fan-flippin'-tastic!
You capture the essence of the piece perfectly. Yep - definitely my favourite video of yours so far!
@scaper3 Ray! Thanks a lot mate for your kind comment! I appreciate it! I know you like this piece very much as you told me you turned up the volume of this piece so loud that the walls were shacking =D
And yes this was really a bugger. But I got a moment I just wanted to finish it! So I worked on it the last couple of weeks :-) Talk to you soon mate!
@joydreamer Really?! So you found eachother via youtube?! Wow that is really amazing!!
And yes Alec can tell you what an arpeggio is. The word comes from the instrument harp. It is a fast sequense foremost of a chord. Otherwise just typ arpeggio in youtube or you should ask Alex. I think he will happy to explain :-) If you hear it then you will recognise it immediately.
Haha, speaking dutch is indeed quite difficult I think. Do you ever practise your Dutch. I can remember you prenounced my name perfectly! I mean in the end ;)
@joydreamer HAHA, wow that is fast! Thanks for taking a look at this one!! Yeah it is quite a tricky piece because some chords are impossible to play at 1 time. So I have to be very quick to create approximately the same feeling. I also tried to play arpeggio's but they don't fit in certain parts (except in the end).
I just saw your newest video! Just an amazing voice! It is great to make friends via youtube and share this kind of music together =D
Do you know where to get the music sheets for every intsrument used in the original song? I'm trying to cover it. It would be so much help if you could tell me! All i can find is music sheets for piano. :(

Of welke vind jij echt super?

hey , this is perfect . i faved again :)) , i sounds very , very good ! , more fluid . and i like very much the sound . :) . i actually didn't go to watch the movie , i wanted to watch it because of the score . haha
molossuspiano 8 months ago

Heel erg mooi! James Newton Howard is echt een goede componist. Keek gisteren King Kong. Ook door hem gecomponeert.
thomasleurmusic 8 months ago
@thomasleurmusic Ja precies!
juggernoud1 8 months ago
@juggernoud1 and he completed that score (king kong) in less than 5 weeks! (i understand dutch way better than i can speak it :P)
andreagiuseppe 8 months ago
Haha, speaking dutch is indeed quite difficult I think. Do you ever practise your Dutch. I can remember you prenounced my name perfectly! I mean in the end ;)
juggernoud1 8 months ago
@joydreamer HAHA, wow that is fast! Thanks for taking a look at this one!! Yeah it is quite a tricky piece because some chords are impossible to play at 1 time. So I have to be very quick to create approximately the same feeling. I also tried to play arpeggio's but they don't fit in certain parts (except in the end).
I just saw your newest video! Just an amazing voice! It is great to make friends via youtube and share this kind of music together =D
