What Corea is playing here looks like a Rhodes Mark IV or V, both of which have this very bright sound to them. This bright sound was also called the "Dyno Rhodes". He seems to have a bit of Chorus on it as well.
i agree. i think that maybe, (correct me if im wrong) this was recorded in that era where keyboard manufacturers where more preoccupied with making synthesizers, and as a result, made the other new keyboards sound a little more synthetic.
