  • 600 lb. pause rep....post some videos of your imaginary uncles doing this!!! please

  • Why is there always a hater on here? More like hundreds! You people make me sick! Get a life yo! You people saying this is fake and its impossible to do this kind of weight at his size and bodyweight are idiots. My father... rip. Benched 375 and was 5'8 180 pounds. CLEAN. HE WAS IN THE MILITARY AND TESTED. So quit being jealous negative nancies and let the guy have his glory

  • I have a question: when one tries to break a record, can the lifter go for the record aftern warmup. Or he has to move the weights up graduately like Rock 560, 580, 600????

  • This is prolly fake since the wrestlings fake

  • Comment removed

  • FYI --this is purely insane raw strength. just notice this is a drug free federation, and at 242lbs bodyweight he benches 600lbs with NO wrist wraps, no belt, feet FLAT on the floor, LONG pause, and he basically slingshots the weight down right after the handoff with control. dam

  • God Bless you brother. A raw & drug free lift like this is awesome & furthermore, it's an inspiration to all of us who aspire to such strength through natural good ol' fashioned hard work ! Keep it up and may the Lord show you favor brother.

  • if anybody is going to bench press 600 LBS raw and clean, there not going to weight 241 LBS. they will all weight at least 300 or more

  • this is linked to a page where it says he passed a drug test and a lie detector test

  • how does he get along with "dumping" the weight down is beyond me i cant do that with half the weight

  • Well done man 2 and a half times your bodyweight very impressive !

  • @ARGUMENTS4FUN Don't pull this bodyweight nonsense on me. If you believe he can't lift more with higher bodyweight than eat more. What matters more is his size. If you're 5'6' midget with T-Rex arms than you're OK. If you're 6'8" with arms as long as people legs than you have a problem no matter how heavy you are.

  • @m5p944 Fine , fuck you the lift was shit go fuck your mom Haha

  • 272,5 kg @ 110 kg bodyweigh category !!!

  • Hard to believe he's drug free. Does anyone know what his diet consists of, in terms of protein and calorie intake?

  • @Neilius27 I doubt some1 could do 600 pound bench drugfree lol with all respect he deffointly is not drug free

  • incredible strength

  • 600 lbs and he does't have a fat belly that's awsum shape.

  • No fucking way , not possible o.0

  • hey guys what is the name of the song in the video where he is benching 580 at the same meet?

  • omfg this guy is AWESOME

  • good to see a guy do a real bench press none of this powrlift back arch crap where they just move their shoulders.....

you sir are an animal good job im only at 500 with a spot hoping to get to 600 some day. again great job.

  • lol thats my cuz i didnt even kno he did this my cuz wasnt liein

  • WOW. Crazy strength.

  • damn beast

  • i could bench 675

  • Is there no start command?

  • lllloooooonnnnggggggg pause! well done!

  • Feb. 7th. he is competing in Rome, Ga. I will show you how much he benches in competition. I guarantee its at least more that 550. Oh yeah, he is 45, not 50.

And I agree with you, most people do have "uncles" like that. But mine is actually for real.

  • sure faggot

  • every hater has an uncle that benches 580 ... god just shut up

  • this is pound for pound the biggest bench of all time

  • Great power bro...awesome! 5 stars! Keep the raw vid's coming...

  • how about 2-100's, 1-45, 1-25, the chips and the clamps per side =600lbs. "470 still pretty DECENT though."

I usually never post, but I love this sport and have trouble reading some of this crap.

  • Oops...sorry, hit the wrong comment. I agree with you, some people don't take the time to even bother posting anything decent. Thanks for your comment.

  • Each side: two 100's, one 45, one 25, one 2.5, one 5lb collar. Multiply all that by 2 and add the 45lb bar and you get 600lbs.

  • youre blind

  • @Bigmike229 of for fuck sake. its a sanctioned meet. im sure the judges, staff and competitors who loaded and verified the bar are in a better position to say how much it is than some wanker on youtube who thinks hes really clever. shut the fuck up.

  • Wish my name was rock, thats pretty badass. Nice lift too.

  • One of the strongest natural powerlifters in the world. You got my respect Rock!

  • Was a soft handoff but the pause was way longer than Mendy's touch and go's. Still shouldn't have counted though.

  • Raw is the way to go.

  • Rock Lewis is simply amazing! One of the greatest benchers ever, especially considering that he is raw and drug free...tested clean multiple times. Does anyone have any video of the raw 600# bench press that he did in Wilmington while weighing only 229#? I'd love to see that one! When is Rock competing again?

  • jus because u test positive dont mean shit thats still impressive i aint gone say its now but u cant convince me he hasnt done at least one cycle drugs or not thats still a good lift

  • Jim Williams

  • I wish more people knew about pat casey

  • WOW RAW POWER! Rock "The Peoples Champion" Lewis someone get this man a SHIRT!

  • Amazingly strong, but what's with the first part of the lift? Not holding it at the top and just slamming it down as soon as it got out of the racks?

  • You're right that he does not receive the weight at arm's length, but I think the clear long pause prior to the actual lift more than makes up for the soft handoff. The handoff at arms length is supposed to show the judge what the locked out position looks like for each lifter. You have a vaild point though.

  • A soft handoff is a soft handoff. Impressive strength, but that shouldn't have been even remotely valid. Screw "soft", that was a liquid handoff.

  • You're right, but the pause was long enough that I think the handoff is basically irrelevant. But you're right, this violates 100%RAW's rules.

  • Real fighter`s heart in that effort. One of only 3 men in 4 decades of powerlifting history to have done 600 at 242 raw. How does it feel to belong to the kings?

  • great lift.

  • wonderful effort! Was this pat casey's record he beat?? as far as i know pat casey is the only man to bench 600lb raw and drug free done back in the 1960's!!

  • Pat Casey's record ended up being 615. It has been broken raw and drug free several times since then. Most would consider the most legitimate heaviest raw and drug free bench press to be 711. It was done by James Henderson (from Florida) in 1997 in an event sanctioned by the International Powerlifting Federation via the United States Powerlifting Federation.

  • Amazing! Esp since it does without a shirt!

Also- you mentioned Pat Casey and James Henderson. If you have those videos, please post them on youtube.

  • @warpeha now it's time for the all time drug free raw TOTAL...we'll see who gets it...

  • @warpeha Pat Casey's record ended up being 640. It has been done in Saturday June 17, 1967 Los Angeles Powerlift YMCA. Bodyweight 339. The best Casey's gym lift done in 1967 was 670 pounds spotted by Olympic gold medalist in shot put at 67'10" from 1964 and bronze in 1960. His name was Dallas Long. After this benchpress he performed 6 seated presses with 190 dummbells in each hand. Also 525 20" close grip benchpress for 5 reps. The bar was handed to him on his chest.

  • @warpeha

there is no way a person can bench over 700 raw naturally.

  • impressive!
