  • If they thought the TBolt was huge...I wanna see their reaction to a P-50!

  • No Blower?

  • that guy is murl from walking dead

  • If I was to set off an air raid alarm nowadays after that new terrorist/civilian bill came into action

you could be sentenced as a terrorist trying to inspire mass panic or something

  • I would love to see them restore a Chrysler air raid siren, now that would be a challenge ;)

  • "If this thing worked right now, you could hear it for 10 miles." lol dumbass. Not without the blower, you aren't!

  • Next thing you know it will be going off on december 21, 2012

  • Ran out of comment space but if you want to hear the siren the way it should sound look up "Moore highschool thunderbolt" by me darian25804

  • I could go off on a siren enthusiast critique essay but I'm going to calm down and and tell you why 1:you can't hear a thunderbolt from 40 miles away 2: it's not going to be loud at all because you forgot the blower and by drilling it to the concrete ou basically sealed off all airflow to the stator chopper assembly, and by only running it off 120v which is chopper level 1 which is quiet. But I have to give props for getting the recording right.

  • Silent Hill??? 13:10

  • The only thing these guys forgot is the blower/compressor motor. Without it, the siren will not be as loud.

  • I lived in E. TN as a kid in the late 70s (about 55 miles from Oak Ridge.) We had an Allertor on my school in 3rd grade. Thunderbolts are loud but the Allertor sounded more bone chilling.

  • For all who want to know how much a siren like this is listen up!! most in decent aka chippy paint and some dents are around 2000 and if they are really denty and have internal prob to an extent are around 500-650 some lower lowest i've seen is 250 a stl-10 missing a horn, chipped paint, rust, and needed new wiring total cost to fix it around ....300 is what i counted up with paint, rust removing tactics,horn/cone,and wires/smaller internal parts=a total of 315 and some change

  • Scary biker dude saves the day!

  • if you want to hear one of these things in Action. Go to Hamilton, New Zealand. It goes off EVERYDAY at 12pm sharp. I grew up listening to this as a kid and on a good day you could hear this things for miles and miles. I actually miss hearing it, as I no longer live there.

  • Is it even be legal to have this thing going off? Might cause mass heart attacks in the senior community who remember that noise and what it meant (like me!).

  • @RBNightlinger its 100% legal to own them, to sound them off, it depends on where you live, check with your local authority and ask if you can sound off, outdoors, for this specific siren, since its missing a key part (the blower) you can sound this in your garage and no one can hear outside

  • No blower?

  • It's actually "Civil Defense Yellow" but whose counting lol

  • I was going to upload that to but i thought about the copyright issues

  • Any idea what that air raid siren is worth???

Mark: From a museum point of view...it's Priceless

  • @scottythegreat1 most in decent condition are about 2000 but some that are damages can go around 500-650 but they need work

  • @cammoman45 Im not asking for what the price is worth, literally.

Im actually referencing Mark Hall-Patton (The Clark County Museum Administrator) and the fact that he doesnt give out prices on Pawn Stars (because of his occupation). Im sure most people that watch this show also watch Pawn Stars. On one show, a customer asked what their item was worth and he stated that the item was priceless.

  • if you wanted to sound like a commercial, shit man you've got it made. With two people talking random jibbah and everything. Where's the mtv logo?

  • is it a 1000 or a 1000t

  • @2001scoop if you read the description, you got the answer.

  • @2001scoop then you should have removed your comment and not waste our timing reading yours, you stupid bitch.

  • I think they had did a great job. Yeah there’s no blower, but they didn't have one in the first place and the museum director didn't want one. It was just a donation, nothing too special and not meant to be a complete 100% working piece. Maybe a CD logo on the side would have been nice but they did a good job to serve the purpose the museum wanted.

  • My dad has no clue about sirens like I do, so when I was saying out loud while watching this "they're only visually upgrading this, they aren't doing anything with the motor or rotor/chopper? What about the blower?" and when the guy said "this is gonna be LOUD" I said "no it's not, it doesn't have a blower..."

They only visually restored this one and completely ignored the guts. He didn't even know what this siren is called.

  • @Thewoog34 i said pretty much the exact thing lol they had no clue what the parts are/what it needs to function, it would be alot louder if they added a hole in the standpipe to allow air to flow in but nothing compared to with the blower on. heck i could of done a better job and focused on the important parts (copper, motor, etc)

  • @hooterchicksarehot *Could have. Never "could of".

  • They forgot the blower.
