I'll agree with that. The riffs at the start of the songs are usually tollerable, but after that it's just "WTF" all the way through.

I know it's a different song, but I honestly don't see how James could go in the studio, record "FRAN-TICK-TICK-TICK-TICK-TICK­-TICK-TOCK" and say "yeah, that sounds good".

the issue with the new album is simply it is a metallica's album. i mean if this was an album of a new band they would be seen as a new genre of metal. fans were expecting something the were already used too. this was not the case and most of them did not like it.
