the fact remains that on all fronts, alabama outclasses, outscores, and just generally out-performs auburn, but most auburn fans are too pig-headed and arrogant to admit their team just isn't as good.

The 9 in a row was back when there was no limit on scholarships. They would give scholarships to players just so that they wouldn't go to Auburn. I'm not taking anything away from Alabama this year though. They played a great season, and should be in the BCS.
