This doesn't address the central issue of why we need a 4 day work week - people need more time to live, explore, and create. It's better to have a 4 day work week (or less), and a 3 day weekend.
Not really, you would take a little pay cut, and more people would be hired to fill the days that you do not work. Less unemployment, and a more rested worker when they are on the job!
Great job, but I have three additional suggestions:
Rename the months: Unember, Duember, Triember, Quattember, Quintember, Sextember, September, October, November, December, Undecember, and Dodecember. Much easier if you use the Latin roots.
Rename the days: Firstday, Secondday, Thirdday, Fourthday, Fifthday, and Sixthday. In this case, it's best to leave the English roots alone.
Finally, who said the work week had to be specific days? It could be easily spread out over the week.
For example, you could have people who had jobs working from Firstday to Fourthday, Secondday to Fifthday... And Sixthday to Thirdday. It would give people who want to work more of an opportunity to have a profession with worth (such as farming and manufacturing), instead of a profession without worth (namely banking and insurance), and also shorter hours, while productivity goes up.
I like the idea of considering this kind of thing. If you don't your close minded. Think about it, we are human animals, and we treat ourselves unnaturally with how much we work. We deserve to have more time to be outside or exercising like the Greeks, exercise makes you smart not sitting thinking and talking.
or better yet we can do the work u do in a year like Germans do it today, have a holiday every week, u get a minimum of a month off in vacation upon weekends and holidays, have unlimited sick time, find every excuse in the book not to work today, and tomorrow and the next day (there will be a book issued to everyone with excuses) and finally on the one day a year the German works, he complains about how the work is getting in the way of his job and punches out early to go home.
What would happen for those people who were born Feburary 29th? Do they have to wait every 4 years for their Birthday or would it be move to the day after or before?
February 29th would still be February 29th as every month would have 30 days. To transfer from the Caesarian/Gregorian calendar to the Loutetian calendar, old Feb 29th actually becomes new Feb 30th as it is the 60th day of the year. Those born in X-week miss one birthday every 8 years.
Maybe we should just re-name all of the names of the days of the week. I mean, we are re-making a calendar, might as well re-make the days aswell right? Besides, I know from expereince that depensing on the spoken language of the country, the names have important meanings. Like in Finnish and German, Wednesday means middle of the week. It wouldnt be the middle if it became the second day in a 6 day week now would it?
Hmm, I get it now. First, raise the price of fuel. Then, introduce a 40 hr 4 day work week. Then, (drum roll please)lower the cost of fuel and bring back the trained people to a 5 day work week at 50 hrs. Problem, solution, reaction. Less time for the people and the oil company can keep raping us. Let's wait and see.
PLLLLLEEEEEAAAASSSSSSSEEEEEEEEE follow this up and make the 4 day work week official, it would be so much better. only problem, and its not really a problem would be more weeks but id rather that than a shitload more work days all at the same time. :)

This will cost a many many billions of pounds (and dollars) to recode all software systems.
But I like it.

Also, Tuesday and Thursday sound too similar. We should get rid of Thursday.

That means you would work less days a year and therefor get less done. The world would essentially be less productive.

@DrewCS2 The industrialized world is too damn productive - it's sickening.

I never could get the hang of Thursdays.

I totally agree. That's why I decided to be born a Monday. I would be ashamed to be born to close to a Thursday.

You also, probably inadvertently, eliminated another problem- Friday the Thirteenth.

Interesting. I just think working Monday-Thursday or Tuesday-Friday would be good enough. The 5 day work week is a grind and it gets old real fast.
