hi, how do i set my buy prices? i found some limited info on government websites for how much things cost on average in my area. is my buy price anything under or equal to those? or is my buy price the lowest price i see? i'm confused about the setting on the buy prices.

I wonder.. how do you save so much money on groceries when....

1. your store limits the number of transactions per day

2. limits the number of coupons per transactions

3. you are on a strict diet

4. you have only two choice to shop at for grocery stores within 200 miles.

Tell me how to do what they do with the listed problems?! We do everything from clip coupons on and off line, cook at home and measure everything to make more from less but still what more can we do?!

When i use coupons i actually end up spending more.

Problem with coupons is that often times the product (even if on sale) is more expensive than the house brand even with the coupon!

It's good that they can budget, but we must remember that the Mom is a stay at home spouse and finding deals is part of her responsibility. The only thing is that their travel and entertainment life on another segment sounded boring. A debit/credit card can work fine if you are responsible.

The reporters should feature more of such families who try to live within their means. I think it's about time people stop glamorizing the facade of wealth (when truth is most people are in huge debt).

But after all that said, I have to give it up to them. It is highly admirable to see them do all this and be so disciplined to save as they do. It would be very hard for me to do so honestly. I just love to travel, eat out and my coffee in the morning to give any of those up really.
