  • How the heck can she says she is pro-life when she tries to hinder life!?

I agree with the second woman. MORE POWER TO HER!

  • We are not going away, we will be here and you will be forced to deal with us, you will tire of telling us no, you will tire of us saying: Give me my rights, you will tire of us in the legislative chambers, in the court chambers and hassling you to change the laws to allow us the same rights as all married couples. You will tire of us before we tire of you!

  • Well...I wonder if we asked her where all adopted children of gays and lesbians come from and who they were failed by she'd have to answer: Their straight parents!

  • We do not want government in control of marriage. We need to start treating each other as humans. Government free marriage is the pathway to equality. Government should have no control over religion or marriage. Leave marriage to the religions or to the people to freely contract with one another.

  • "Marriage is not a threat to marriage." Brilliant ... so simple. Why didn't the anti-Prop 8 campaign use a simple truism like this?

  • That's right bitch. That is what it feels like to get served!

  • bisexuality is infidelity.

    criminals lose equality.

and political lies can be a crime.

The laws of thought are fundamental logical rules.

The classical Islamic philosopher, Ibn Sina in response to opponents of the law of noncontradiction:

"Anyone who denies the law of non-contradiction should be beaten and burned until he admits that to be beaten is not the same as not to be beaten, and to be burned is not the same as not to be burned." (Metaphysics)

    Homosexuals are liers.

  • @ThePlaneTruth The fact that you cannot spell *liars, proves how well educated you are.

  • @ThePlaneTruth Where does your logic stem from?

I know plenty of heterosexual people that commit infidelity and lie.

  • @ThePlaneTruth I don't get how you say bisexuality is infidelity. I know many bisexuals who are faithful, next criminals losing certain rights are a reality and if a rational basis exists, I'm not sure of one. Next, homosexuals being liars is just crazy. Everyone lies--even little white lies

  • Couldn't have said it better! Go Angie!!!!

  • Gays, Lesbians, Bisexuals and the transgendered communities are not going away, so it is time to quit the insults and hateful comments. It is time we declare our independence and gain our freedom to be on the same playing field as the rest of you. God is in my camp and I pray for you who persecute my people. You need to open your minds because we are your teachers, bankers, lawyers, firefighters, your child's best friend, your neighbor. Be a good neighbor and quit the insults please. Thanks.

  • I'd like to hear from anyone who can provide me with a logical, rational explanation for why gay marriage should not be legal - an explanation, of course, that follows all current legal certainties, including separation of church and state.

  • Colorado had a great chance and passed on it... they wanted Musgrave instead..

  • The ideal environment in which children can be raised is without people like Musgrave in power.

    Musgrave got schooled.

  • Musgrave is Rick Santorum in a skirt. In fact, something should find something really disgusting to name after her like they did with Santorum. ("Better go in the shower and rinse off that musgrave.")

  • the woman in the white suit is amazing. Too bad everyone isn't as intelligent as she is

  • My partner and I (20 years in a loyal, faithful, monogamous partnership) were married in London this year, under the auspices of the UK's enlightened new law. My partner is US, I am UK. We are in love as much now as when we met. How in the world does our relationship constitute "anarchy" ?! Ah ... I smell religion and bad politics again. The "I'm right you're wrong" school of close-mindedness - my family background was Pentescostal Evangelical, I KNOW how little these people know about anything.

  • Love her!

  • Except most people DO NOT WANT same-sex marriage. Therefore it should not be granted to all people.

No, people should not be able to do whatever they want. That is called anarchy.

  • Wrong. Anarchy is the absence of a state power, which enforces laws. But saying that all people should be able to do whatever they like to do, as long as it does not violate another persons rights, granted by the law, is NOT promoting anarchy! (to be continued)

  • (continue) But I'm not saying, that it isn't a valid opinion to be against same sex marriage. It's just not my opinion. You can of course argue, that allowing s.s.m would reduce the quality of life for straight people. But since forbidding it would most certainly reduce the quality of life of all gays and lesbians in a far more serious way, I would argue that the interests of the homosexuals outbalance those of people like yourself.

  • If you don't want it, don't do it. I don't want people picking their noses in public, but they do it. Can I force them not to? No.

Americans are, under the eyes of the law, equal. So absolutely, the privilege of marriage should be granted to all Americans.

  • Red staters, get a life worry about your marrigae not your neighbors.

  • wow. that was beautiful angie!

  • BelieveIt1051 : I think your lifetsyle is WRONG. What do you think about that???

  • That's it? That's the sum total of your wit? How would same-sex marriage even affect you? What is your definition of "right" lifestyle? A carbon copy of you, and you alone?

  • It's not about equality. A law which only allows traditional marriages would do so for every one, not only for gays/lesbians. Of course, only those who actually WANT to marry a person of the same sex would be affected. But that doesn't make it a matter of equality! It's the same as with laws, which forbid to walk in public naked. Or laws, which forbid to burn garbage in the backyard. All those laws only affekt those people would like to do those things! That doesn't make it a matter of equality!

  • By that logic marriage could be defined to be only between white non-jewish people. This of course wouldn't be a question of equality either, because the law will affect only those who actually WANT to marry a black a jewish person.

  • No, it would be a question of equality. Equality means, that all persons have the SAME rights. To restrict marriage to certain religion/race would automatically give different people different rights! A white/christian female could marry a w./ch. male, but a black/jewish female couldn't. Therefore they wouldn't have the same rights.

Equality before the law means, that all people, regardless of race/religion/etc. have the same rights, and are forbidden to do the same things.

  • One word: Sophistry. Look it up.

  • I looked it up. But I honestly do not understand, why you think, that I'm trying do deceive you. My posts reflect my true opinion! There is nothing descepive about it.

  • I get your point about race, but my argument still aplies in regard to the jew, if he only could get married after he had publicly renounced his faith. That would still be equality for you, right? Btw: You are being called a sophist because you are arguing from the letter of the constitution, not from its spirit.

  • No, that wouldn't be equality for me. For example: If male A and female B are both Christians and male A is allowed by the law to marry female B, and male C is Jewish and forbidden by the law to marry female B, then the law would treat male A+C unequally.

But if there is a law, which denies everyone the right to marry a person with the same sex, then this law does indeed treat everyone equally, even though some people will feel more restricted by it than others..(to be continued)

  • (continue) ... And btw: Neither did I argue from the letters nor from the spirit of the constitution. I was just passing on criticism about the way Representative Paccione argued for same sex marriage. But I am all FOR allowing same sex marriages! I just think that "equality" is a really bad argument for demanding it. ;)

  • Okay then: Outlawing judaism and forbidding criminals to marry, would then be to treat people equaly.

  • I think in all cases it is a mistake to intepret the "all men are created equal" phrase to only include equality before the law. I think it also include basic social equality, which would prohibit assigning uneaqual status to different inborn traits via law as long as these don't conflict with other kinds of equalities.

  • Moreover: we have equality of basic freedoms. Marriage is a kind of association with special judicial status, and since we have freedom of association, the opportunity of this form of association should be granted all, nomatter what we may choose to call it. Btw: I am glad to see that we are only disagreeing about the means to get to the conclusion :)

  • Praiosrondra: in your opinion, what would be a good argument when asking for same sex marriage?

  • All people should have the freedom to do whatever they want to do, as long as those actions don't violate another persons rights, granted to this person by the law. Granting the right for same sex marriage to all people, would not violate anybody's rights, therefore it should be allowed.

  • You support special rights, not equality! You support the special right of gays to change the meaning of marriage while the majority vote is disregarded! Gays can already get married in the same way everyone else can. Therefore it's equal already. All were created equal, that does not mean everyone is equal AFTER they grow up. Some lifestyles are wrong. Some behaviors are unnatural. Some actions are dangerous. NO ONE has the right to redefine marriage to include their perverted way of life.

  • You are obviously a conservative hater. Why have conservatives always stood on the side of discrimination and hate throughout history?

Is it because you are genuinely bad people?

  • Not its because most conservatives are ignorant and poor thats why they seemed more interested in perserving traditions then seeking the truth.FREE YOUR MINDS!!!!

  • Funny you should say that. The conservatives are Republicans. We are supposed to be the ones with the money and education. Democrats are the uneducated the expect handouts and feel the rich owe them something as they sit on their rears. If open-minded means straying from God, I will be close-minded. For it is His law that matters, not man's when it is against His. You are essentially call God close-minded. Wow!! That is pretty brave of you.

  • conservatives and republicans are different people. economic and social politics should remain seperate issues.

please come to my channel and share your thoughts on marriage equality.

  • Um, two words: religious Bigot.

  • its already been redefined!!! before u could sell your wife, couldent get a divorce and ppl of different race could marry each other.

  • marriage

  • Agreed. And why does the Religious Right think that gays are "destroying families"? Maybe if they looked at Cheney's daughter and her partner, they'd understand the 2 are not only a good couple but also have a wonderful family.

  • Let's hope this woman gets elected and people start listening to her.

  • Wow, somebody who will actually honor the constitution and call for equality.

  • damn, you go girl!
