  • Well done, excellent choice of editing but I'm just disappointed that you didn't use the original soundtrack in this. Also ever since the Dark Knight Trailer came out in 07-08 everyone doing their own trailers on youtube has copied it like crazy, don't make a good thing bad by repetition.

  • Best re-cut trailer ever. Do you have one for the very first movie? Those trailers look terribly dated now.

  • best star trek movie of all time

  • What software did you use to convert the disc to edit?

  • Fan Bloody Tastic.... I love it :)

  • This is the Trek like I have never seen.Superior!Magnificent!

  • Now this is a Star Trek Trailer! Staying on this subject, its shame Benicio Del Toro isnt gonna play the new modern Kahn, I think he wud hav made a awesome Kahn. At same time thinking bout it, can we really c Chris Pine's (Boy scout) Kirk, kicking Del Toro's ass?? I think not lol.

  • @RaikenXion As I heard - Star Trek "XII" will be about Vulcans taking revenge on Romulans (Abrams doesn`t like the klingons and fans bitching about their design)!

    Possible villain: Sybok!

  • @SuperJuliusC Yeh Ive recently heard about that myself, rumors of Benedict Cumberbatch playing Sybok. I can actually see him fitting the part cus even looking at that guy he looks like a Vulcan lol. Furthermore Benedict Cumberbatch actually looks a fair bit like Ben Cross so I think this will happen. It'll give a fairly nice Intelligent play off of Spock against his brother, instead of just the cliched usual of good guys and bad guys exchanging 1 liners before the climax fight lol.

  • @SuperJuliusC I hav to say I wud like to see Klingons in new Star Trek, even if they changed their design alittle, it wud need that for this new era. And they dont even need to play villains (becus they were villains in like nearly all the past movies it got boring lol), but I dont think Abrams has the right to cut them from the whole series now, just becus HE doesnt like them. Also I'll add Im not a mad Trekker fan either, I judt want more of the feel of "Star Trek" in there lol.

  • @SuperJuliusC The Vulcans taking REVENGE?!

....My nerd rage meter broke. That better not be true. That's the antithesis of Vulcan behavior. Anytime a Vulcan behaved that way they usually turned out to be a Romulan in disguise.

  • Ive got First Contact on blu-ray...cant wait to get this and see it on my big screen lcd xD

  • This would have been the perfect Blu Ray Trailer. Hell if The Wrath Of Khan where to be re-released in Theaters, this would be the perfect trailer to see on the silver screen. :D

  • I'm surprised they didn't use the "KHAN!!!" scene in this. lol

  • now i may watch this movie instead of doing work!

  • this is really good! it looks like a combo of a real trailer and a fan trailer because it doesn't have any voice overs trying to sell the movie, but it has the official emblems and is well constructed.

  • Brilliant, amazingly put together!! Did you use Premier Pro?

  • Very well edited. Excellent work. And that comes from someone who does it professionally.

  • ARSE-CLENCHINGLY BRILLIANT

  • Fucking Brilliant mate. I want to go and watch the movie again right now!

  • I wouldn't have ended it with Kirk calling out for Spock (gives too much away). Rather I would have ended it with the infamous "KHAANNN" clip. Otherwise, outstanding!

  • @cdbutler1204 I was thinking about the same thing but reaching the opposite conclusion: It's not important that we are given spoilers. The movie is too well known and too memeified to this date.

  • @LuisManuelLealDias Yes, but I meant only if this movie were new and unfamiliar to most audiences.

  • Dude.......if this is what you can do for TWOK, then I would LOVE to see your trailers for the other Star Trek films, especially First Contact!!!

  • What's the na,e of the music used in this trailer?

  • Needs more lens flare.

  • Best Trek EVER MADE

  • @morath11 u got that right!!!

  • @morath11 you said it

  • Outstanding job!!! Simply outstanding!!!

  • a damn good trailer. ive done one my self but yours is better. don't like to paramount logo though, too Trekkie.

  • Not one person has disliked this video yet...I can see why.

  • Okay I only just realised you've made this trailer yourself. Very impressive! Have you made any others for the other films?

  • Gave me the goosebumps too. I'm very impressed. The "Spock!" part at the end might have given "it" away for anyone who had not seen ST II before, but most of us have seen it and know what to expect, anyway. I like the original James Horner music, but the music you used fits for this in my opinion. Great job!

  • Decent trailer but it's so cliched, especially the awful canned music that is nothing like the James Horner score of ST:II but generic cliched strings and cliched opera choir... Also, since when did the Enterprise running lights power on to the tune of the Proton Packs from Ghostbusters?

  • If this a fan made:

    This is Pretty Billant

Get a job at Paramount I think JJ abramim may need your talents

  • Amazing doesn't seem enough to state how well this piece was done!!

  • This gives me goosebumps!!! That is how great this trailer is!

  • Personally I really don't care for fan-made videos but I gotta admit this was creative genius. It's totally believable. It makes the movie look like it was recently released and the use of the musical score from Star Trek 2009 ties the 2 timelines of Star Trek together perfectly. This trailer actually made me envision Chris Pine as Kirk in every one these scenes. Excellent work!

  • who really gives a crap about the directors cut..its not how the director wanted it obviously or else the directors cut would be in the theaters instead.

  • All I have to say is WOW. Just WOW. That is one of the best fan trailors I have ever seen, and could have easily been in the cinema (well, minus the Spock death reference), but it works in this since everybody has seen the film anyway :)

  • One of the best trailers I've ever seen! Awesome!

  • Khan should be the villian in the next Trek movie. Obviously, it wouldn't follow this story line, but it would be a nice play on the fact that it is the sequel to the reboot. (Star Trek II--2012.) And since the history of the characters were changed so abruptly with the the destruction of Vulcan, you could do a whole new plot with a wonderful foe.

  • Great trailer.......although the last part hinting that something bad happens to Spock should be removed if it were tailored to audiences who haven't seen the film......it gives away too much.

  • Very nice!

  • For the modern style of trailers nowadays, this really fits the bill for Star Trek II. I like it.

  • I wonder what Nick Meyer thinks of this trailer. The movie's overarching theme is Kirk growing older. It's his birthday, he's stuck in a desk job, and a decision he made 15 years before is coming back to haunt him.

  • I thought that trailer was awful. They actually made it look boring. And why use that awful score when James Horner's score for this film is amazing.

  • Compare it to the original trailer and tell me which one you prefer. LOL. But, hey, to each his own. You have to admit, the cut to Scotty, bloody and beaten and bruised holding a limp body of a young kid in his arms in the turbolift was a great touch. (Especially if you have never seen the film.)

  • Sure the old trailer looks a bit dated, but at least it feels like Star Trek II. This trailer sounds like Gladiator or something.

  • What an amazing trailer this is!! Whoever did this at Paramount did a great job.

  • They need to re-release it to theaters. I was eighteen the last time I saw it at the local multiplex--I'm thirty-seven now--when they had a Star Trek movie marathon in celebration of Trek's twenty-fifth anniversary. (Back in 1991. They showed all five movies in a row. (The sixth one was about to come out at the time.)

  • @clericjack I agree, I would love if they re-released it in theatres, Wrath of Khan is one of my favourite movies of all time and it came out before I was born

  • Agreed.

  • Oh yes !!!!

  • FUCK YEAH.
