  • Did you ever see an ugly indian girls ?

  • 0:23 That guy in black is the same actor who played the King in "Kama Sutra", isn't he? I thought him one of the handsomest men I'd ever seen.

  • Gostei muito do trailer. Vou assistir este filme, sou apaixonada pela India.

  • I LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS MOVIE! :D

  • this version is more entertaining than the one with Keira Knightley!

  • love it, great take on original, shows that bollywood can take an english piece and make it their own

  • I'm a huge Austen fan and I really liked this movie

  • I think indian people are one of them most exotic people in the world, they are gorgeous.

  • hahahaha snake dance in that movie really funny

  • white guy gets indian girl what a surprise

  • i love it !its really funny and the movie is 100 times better that this trailer ;-)

  • this movie is my favourite movie aish looks beautiful as usual and it is very fun to watch its good entertainment for the whole family loooooooooove it

  • Loll..:P The snakedance is funny.. !!

  • Cornell West says that Blacks in the US can't even see themselves through their own eyes, that they "see" through whites eyes. This is helped through Western media:ads, films, art, photography, lit.

I imagine the Indian desire for light skin began with the 1st colony. You see through Whites' eyes, which see dark as being "evil"--just read:dark, black mood, heart of darkness, dark as night, pitch black, niggardly, blackhearted, black comedy, lighthearted, glowing, blank slate,Snowwhite, white house.

  • lol why is the trailer so unfitting

  • its a good movie:)

  • i wish someone would post this movie here

  • horrible movie.

  • I know I am butchering the spelling, but koli saab & the mother were hilarious! I love, loved this movie.. Bright colors, beautiful songs & people... I love indian films & also nigerian films... Most of these actors can put american actors to shame any day!

  • a good comedy...honestley makes me lough!!!!i mean its true if sm one goes to an asian country and gets suprised ...cuz there r billions of different things!!!!and i think if sm body makes a movie of an asian who'v never bn to a nother country comes to europe sm how!!!will be soo funny....cuz he'll be like WTF!!!!ppl with ear phones on all the where!!rock music...naked beaches!!!lolz...um waiting for that movie!!!lolz!!

  • it was a good movie...but i still prefer the pride and prejudice(the original) version.

  • i love this movie! always have and always will!!!

  • This is soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo good

  • Sayid/Naveen Andrews is so HOT!!!!!!!!

  • Awful trailer, amazing movie.

  • If we're talking about race in India. It's very diverse. In the south of the country, the skin is darker, north of the country, the skin is lighter. People in the Punjab have especially light skin. Given that they descend from Iranian/Aryan peoples who came from the Indus valley. They are Caucasian peoples. Not necessarily white, but Caucasoid. As are Arabs the peoples of Central Asia and the Caucus. Go read up of this bs before you make silly comments.

  • cute movie :)

  • AHHHH! ITS SAYID!

  • @annaphatbanana Noooo His Dad....

  • @musicmeg246 n hes hilarious!!!! lool.

  • @TheQueenGia Do they have media studies over there in India. or are you an American with Indian parents, which doesn't count as being Indian (if so you're as Indian as I'm South African)

My South African dad, who grew up with Indians as lots of Indians live in SA, if you even know that, has said that Rai probably uses a skin treatment or even bleach.

Rai isn't trying to be bad, that is the tricky thing about cultural hegemons.

Indians should demand of their films celebrate the darkness of skin.

  • @PtAltmVansanTarr Aishwarya Rai does not use bleach (which doesn't work anyway), refuses to endorse skin-lightening products, and has always been this fair - just look at her childhood photos. Both of my parents are south Indian - my dad's side of the family is so fair they could pass as European. Skin comes in a variety of tones in India, and while the fairness craze is still stupidly strong, there are dark skinned actresses in Bollywood - Bipasha Basu and Deepika Padukone, to name two.

  • @angua7 wat i dnt get is y r all u indians so desperate to b europeans? be happy with what God has made u!

  • @strawberryanee We aren't desperate to be European, god help me! I was stating a fact (that Indians come in all colours), not making a judgement. I love my culture, both Indian and Australian - and yes, I'll proudly say I'm Indian, though I'm an 'Aussie with Indian parents'.

The traditional preference for fairness also has to do with the fact that historically, the rich/those of high social status remained fair, because they did not have to labour outdoors in the sun.

  • @angua7 me 2 not aussie parents but i've grown up in australia all my life

  • @angua7 that is so true. I always wondered why that was. well now I know. thanks.

  • @PtAltmVansanTarr Ignorant douschebag. Ok so according to you no Indian in the world can have green eyes and light skin. If you have green eyes you will have light skin because both are caused by lack of melenin in your skin. Anyways anyone in the world can have green eyes and light skin the only reason why it is rare is because green eyes is a recessive gene unlike brown eyes which are a dominant gene. You need to go back to school.

  • @TheQueenGia Very well said. I remember learning this in Biology. xD

  • @TheQueenGia Thank you! I've been trying to convince people that this is a misunderstanding for AGES! my grandpa was full paki/ indian and he had dirty blond hair pale skin and sea blue eyes.

  • @wafa101 The atributes you mentioned are typical Indo-European and both Pakistanies and Indians are of that origin. :)

  • @PtAltmVansanTarr There are blacks with light skin too and they have fully black parents. Beyonce is very light skin so is Tyra Banks. Tyra must have used skin bleach too right? Asshole. Just because it's rare doesn't mean it's not possible.

  • @TheQueenGia I'm sure Beyonce has European ancestry; her wiki says her mother is of African, French, Native American and Irish ancestry. So her mother's pretty mixed.

  • Comment removed

  • @PtAltmVansanTarr your dad is an idiot. i pressume he is a rich white stupid south african still pissed of that he cant make niggers work on his farm anymore...

  • @PtAltmVansanTarr

have you even met a north indian before in your life or are you just be hypocritical like most people and who the f*ck told you that aishwarya uses bleach whoever said that is just jealous of her beauty I'm pretty sure this is when the saying think before you open that fat mouth of yours comes into use

  • @jeeva1996 word. The english had been there for ages. They had children with the Indians. She's indian but has white in her. People are goin to talk crap-by=ut just ignore it.

  • @007Rhianna

I can see why you'd think that she has white in her (her skin is light and her eye's are blue) but she's fully indian and doesn't have any white in her. She lives in north india that's why her skin is light than the average indian since the weather in north india is the same as in england, cold so this doesn't let their skin get darker

  • Screw the lightbulb, and pat the dog with the other

Thats exactly what my friend said to do :)

  • @PtAltmVansanTarr WTF who is trying to look white moron Indians are proud of their culture and they would never leave a rich culture like that and want to be white. If you're talking about Aishwarya Rai I'm sorry to tell you,but she was born with green eyes & light skin naturally and she still doesn't look white. There are Indians who are born with green or blue eyes and it's not their fault. Many things cause that it's genes her grandfather also had green eyes.Such ignorance from Americans.

  • @TheQueenGia Like me lol im indian but everyone thinks im turkish or something because of my white skin and dark green eyes xD

  • I have been watching this movie since it first came out! I just watched it for 2 days straight! This is my ultimate fave movie (im only 13 but still XD) AND IN THIS TRAILER, THEY SAID aishwarya's name wrong! I watched original Indian tv (im half indian anyway) and it said her name COMPLETELY DIFFERENT!

  • @YasilovesIrises probably because this ad is spoken by an american and in india it´s spoen by an indian. that´s what you call an accent.

  • I bet people in India HATE this movie lol

  • SAYYYIIIDDD

  • @shabazzu Holy shit it is Sayid, if i didn't have enough reasons to see this movie before i do now lol

  • I'm so glad they didn't exactly called it pride and prejudice, still, i'm looking towards seeing it, cool how they adapted it.

  • Hhahahah this movie was soooooo funny :D

  • omg, i love pride and prejudice and this movie looks great. i wanna see it!

  • OMG Austen will be turning in her grave

  • yeah but it's a great movie

  • @bresiesoftroy nahh she'd probably never dream her stories would travel across the globe.=D

  • @bresiesoftroy i think that soon her grave will be found empty...

  • aw i love this movie:) it reminds me of when i was in 7th grade

  • <3 Indiaaa!

  • love this movie to death!! whats the song at 1:44?

  • that the song NO LIFE WITHOUT WIFE...the ending of the song in tha movie

  • <3 this. Gutted Aishywarya wont make more english films

  • i loveee the movie!!!! so pissed youtube took the movie down!!!

  • lol.. "and featuring music by Ashanti". there was only 1 song she performed there. why would they even mention this in trailer as if that was something of a great importance?

  • Probably trying to draw more people in. She was a lot more popular when this was filmed, they probably thought it would be a good way to attract interest.

  • i LOVE dis movie - i've seen it at least 25 times LOL xD

  • totally awesome, i say it on tv yesterday:D

  • the guy is cute!!! and aishwayra is soo pretty i love her =]

  • This movie was Great! I just saw it and was looking for the trailer to recommend it to friends on the web...

  • Currently reading 'Pride and Prejudice' and having seen this movie before many times before i am amazed at how alike the novel it really is:D

Hope to se it again soon!

  • I saw this movie it was a nice movie and the snake dance part was absolutely hilarious!

  • i have this movie, it's awesome :)

  • i'm indian and i love this movie

  • this was the funniest movie ever! 5 stars! aishwarya rai was absolutely beautful!

  • actually, aishwarya is from south part of india (mangalore, karnataka). So you can't really characterize that people from north are white and south are dark b/c i usually it's more of a mix. also, she doesn't bleaches her skin b/c if she did for many years in her acting career, she would have looked like another Micheal Jackson.

  • i have never laughed so much in a movie in my life!!!!

  • very beautiful woman. she has won on a beauty contest. am i right? or i misunderstood her with other woman?

  • She won Miss World in 1994.

  • @eleanna1507

Yup aishwarya rai was ms world in the late 1990s.

  • yay50 thats the type of silly comments that so called REAL white people laugh at. And stop hiding behind the fact that a lot of lndains bleach there skins.

  • And how many Bollywood films or Indian films have you seen?

  • Haha good one!

  • a lot of indians are actually white

  • And where did you read that? Because all the Indians I've seen are around my skin color, and my skin is a deep tan in color.

  • read it? ive lived in india and all of my mums side of the famiy are white. NATURALLY.

  • Are the people on your mother's side the only white Indians you've seen?

  • no! all im saying is that indians can also be white (just like south africans) and i wasnt replying to you comment in the first place, i was replying to the person above who was talking about the bleached skin.

  • Oh, sorry, I mixed up the names.

  • Northern India was invaded by Aryans thousands of years ago, and the Aryans were light-skinned (or some people argue white) people. Many north Indians have Aryan blood, and thus are light skinned and greened eyed. There are light skinned people in India.
