i just watched an episode of tnt's "southland" and it was the EXACT same scenario. first cop roles up shown from second car, then lady hits second car w/ vehicle, officer tries to remove her from car, she steps out, tackled by another officer who comes from behind the suspect vehicle, right hand is under body, pulled out with baton, blood on hand, flipped over and knife in stomach. hell the lady in "southland" even had the same dress on and was driving a minivan.

The other officer then tried to grab the knife from the left side. I am glad he didnt shoot because he probably would have hit the other officer if using a High velocity round. Either way as pointed out to me this is a really old video possibly before all departments started issuing OC as standard.

@msbonik tasers havent been on the market for very long. Looking at the time period of this judging by the vehicles I would say that this video was early 2000's. Cops werent eqiupped with tasers then. They were still in the process of being created. Yes its horrible that things like this happen but it isn't the police officers fault. He was doing what he had to do to deal with the situation. It was an accident. But its situations that occur like this that cause new, safer tools for the job.
